Since it's certainly possible for a 32 to solo the CE raid, I was wondering if it was at all possible for a 31 to do the same on normal. It's something that I really want to be skilled enough to do, since I struggle finding raid teams and don't usually have the time to assemble one. Does anyone know if this is do-able or not? I've tried before but simply getting through the abyss is a struggle and a half for me. Any tips?

Yep I've done it on all 3 characters you gotta cheese the bridge tho
-
Yes, it's possible, I've done it and it's been done with no Gjallahorn as well, HM05 on YouTube has a video of it

5 RepliesEdited by Bronzey: 3/18/2015 5:38:54 PMYes! If you're a warlock two Gjallarhorns with fusion grenade, no Gjallarhorn is two truth and 3 fusion grenades Hunter takes Gjallarhorn throwing knife Gjallarhorn throwing knife TITAN two magnetic grenades with Gjallarhorns Very hard without Gjallarhorn

2 RepliesI've seen it done, so yes. What platform?
-
I've done it with a level 1,beat that! Well, being serious here,if i remember correctly, someone did it without the Gjallarhorn.so if that's true then totally possible, but it's still possible if you're smart.

3 RepliesYes, biggest tip would be to use a hunter if you can. Hunters are just way better in this raid than both the other classes. The invisibility is absurdly useful for every part.
-
It's been done by a 31 without Gally
-
There's a guy on youtube who soloed crota on 31 without the jellyhorn
-
1 ReplyWith Gjallarhorn then yes, you can solo Crota. Also if you're having problems doing the Pit solo on normal, I don't know if you can even do Crota. I can solo hard mode Pit as a 31 without invisibility.
-
Possible but pretty rough because you do such minimal damage to Crota per swing. Have to use at least 3 swords (2x per sword) with solid contact for each of those to be able to kill him. Usually it would take 4 swords(3x each) if your only ok at sword. So factor in that at 31 it takes 3+ gally rockets to down him instead of the normal 2 rockets with a 32. Do the math it's a lot of stuff you have to do in a small amount of time.

1 ReplyFirst ever solo was a 31 hunter so yes as long as you got a ghorn
-
You could do it :)

3 RepliesIt's easier and more rewarding to do it with a team because all of ya will get rewards. If you're looking to solo him think of a way to be worlds first otherwise just do it with a team. The only achievement that is worth it in my opinion is the flawless raider.

2 RepliesIt's possible I did it as a level 31 titan and warlock. Here is the video of me defeating crota solo as a level 31 titan. http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=BrB37LocsAI

7 Repliesif you don't have the TIME, to assemble a raid team then you as surely not going to have the time to solo hm crota at lvl 31..
-
I hate to be "that guy", soloing at 31 with no gjallarhorn would be a feat. I will regularly do it on any of my characters, there is tips for each class. Honestly YouTube is your friend here. If you're on ps4, doing speed runs is pretty efficient.

The maze has a cheese The bridge has a cheese The death singer has a cheese Crota ur on your own

Edited by iDut: 3/18/2015 3:22:37 PMYes. Very hard without the G-horn.
-
if you are on 360. I usually take 2 randoms that haven't beat hm crota on my 3rd character. my fireteam likes trying to help people that haven't done the raid rather it be crota or vog.

Edited by wok75: 3/18/2015 3:21:20 PMsoloing it on normal as a 31 you would do the same damage as a 32 on hard but atleast you get a chalice
-
Maybe damaging Crota enough might be a pain but probably doable before enrage.
-
Possible but time consuming. Crota would be a pain but with 2 rockets and a dot grenade I belive it would work
-
2 RepliesAre you on ps4?
-
Yea definitely
-
Yes, I know at least 2 people have done it..

4 RepliesUp until Crota I'm sure you can do it. Not sure if you'll be able to do enough damage to Crota to take him down. The abyss will be a bit tricky to do with a warlock and titan, but it's possible. (If you have Mida Multitool, this will really help for that part.) Also swinging across the bridge with the sword takes some practice. (Not too good with that myself.) For deathsinger, just take your time. Start clearing adds and only go after her when she starts her song as she will be immobile then. (Watch out for the purple balls of death when you kill a shrieker, they can follow you quite far out.)
