Has anyone at Bungie ever fired a Pistol?
Anything farther than 50 yards your not going to be able to hit a moving target 3 or 4 shots in a row, your not going to be able to out gun a scout rifle or sniper rifle from all the way across the map with your Hawkmoon.
Hand Cannons have gotten dumb, fix the range......
So worried about auto rifles and shot guns, meanwhile this junk is silly.

oh yes, it's sci-fi fantasy. Therefor several people seem to think that it is a good idea that range is absolutely irrelevant, and weapons designed to shoot across the map like scout and sniper rifles, should just be tossed in the trash as we all adopt the Hawkmoon or Thorn for essentially every battle tactic? Because no one at Bungie has ever caught on fire and done a Scorch Melee, lets just abandon any premis of weapon believability.

Hand cannon range is fine. Auto, scout and pulse rifle range is too short. Also, in reality, shotguns can shoot across a hundred yards or more with no problem. Also, they're hand cannons, not pistols. Pistols so far less damage than rifles of all kinds. But I digress, it's a video game, weapon balance is not realistic at all. I'm just glad they haven't done anything weird with scouts.

Have you seen the size of those things while a guardian is holding it? Please tell me what pistol is that big? I'm truly happy that hand cannons play the way they do because scout rifles are so damn boring to use.

2 RepliesI know right. When I throw my nova bomb in real life, it is a straight shot from point A to point B. Not this girly, arching LeBron fadeaway thing they have in the game. Totally bs. Then there is that "perk" where it travels farther and faster? He throws it like a Randy Johnson fastball. No one can actually throw it that fast. personally, in my hometown, we do things a little bit different. In the game, when the sunsinger comes back from the grave, he does that flailing arm thrust and sticks out his chest and goes woooooosh. Lol I mean, who does that? That must be an inside joke between the devs. Those silly rascals.

Sure, but other end of the map, picking me off with better accuracy than a scout rifle or two shotting me with hawkmoon when it takes 3-4 burst of headshots with my legendary pulse rifle or red death? yeah, there is something wrong with that picture.
