This thorn bounty is pissing me off
I'm -blam!-ing awful at crucible. There's no two ways about it. I'm using an Atheons epilogue, the calming/sword breaker and a truth/corrective measure and haven't even made it to over 100 points in 10 games yet. How the -blam!- do I do this -blam!-ing bounty?
Edit - Thanks for all your kind words guys, really didn't expect so many replies!
Took all your advice on board, doubled my points from 72 to just over 150 I think in two games, got rid of the epilogue and used red death just to keep myself at a positive KD and it's working! I found that if I just stayed around the A&C zones in twilight gap with a shotgun I was mopping them up haha!
I'll let you all know how I get on in the next few days!

I got word of crota and sword breaker the day after I got my Thorn used the Calming and Final Rest fusions but got it done. Took 4 ever it seemed but was just a couple hours.

2 RepliesI responded to your post earlier about how bad I was at PVP and that I had 366 points left on the bounty... Well, I was inspired by your post to get it done. When I got home I jumped on and played control with two friends and completed the entire bounty in 1.5 hours! I have the gun equipped on my Titan. My load out was maxed out WOC, Secret Hand Shake (with Void Damage) and Truth. Happy to be done with this bounty, haha. Grind On Guardians!

Defender titan, armor of light, a void shotty, and a bunch of retards who think sliding into my bubble is a great idea. I did it in about 7 or 8 matches :) Oh and lots and lots of camping to get corrective measure ammo.

Stick to the calming. Decent range good charge rate. Seriously it doesn't matter how big of a noob people think you are. Thorn is worth it. Do not use anything other than a void fusion rifle

I used Word of Crota, Swordbreaker and Truth. This meant that all kills count towards the total. Also used Defender Titan (Void Walker is probably better). I used Clash (control wasn't helping me) and started to get around 30 to 80 points per game. I am far from a PVP God and doubted I could ever do it but I did this and the Invective bounty. So to summarize: Word of Crota will help you lots. Pick a game mode that suits you (might not be control) Don't give up, as long as you only die once for every kill you'll make good progress fast.

3 RepliesJust wait until you get to Xyor. I've gotten and completed the pulse rifle bounty (whatever that weapon is called) just today. I've only had it maybe 2 weeks week and a half maybe. I've been stuck on Xyor for more than a month now. Good luck with it, you will get it eventually.

Really how I overcome the bounty with the crucible part was use the sniper on VOG called (so sorry if this is spelt wrong, I'll edit if needed) Prayafes revenges and stood on the outskirts of the map, in total, it took me around five matches 2 complete

1 ReplyI'm pretty bad at crucible yet was able to do this in around 4-5 hours. Word of crota, non upgraded truth and some seriously crap void shotgun. Only slowdowns were due to Internet outages in my area so my connection was all over the place. Try doing rumble rather than a team based playlist.

It's not going to be easy as a hunter no :( Best chance you got is to go blade dancer and shotgun invis with the occasional truth shot.

I am also horrible at Crucible - and I've posted these before, but here is how I found to make it tolerable, and you can succeed: 1. Don't play alone - have a buddy/clan member/anyone you talk to while playing - this was the most important for me, it makes it much more enjoyable. 2. Your load out works, I used Epilogue, Truth & used Praedyths Revenge to get some kills, I also used Voidwalker. 3. Try not to watch the points - I went from zero points, to 40, to zero, to 80, to 20, 75, 60, etc - then I quit watching, and just tried to have a few laughs, and have fun. I checked it again later just to see if I had made any progress, and I was up over 300. The 2 things that helped me the most were teaming up with friends, and not watching the points. Watching the points drove me nuts.

Did the one for BAD JUJU and the Invective shotgun, but gave up on Thorn. Don't have the patience to just sit and snipe or camp, got to rush in and that's no good for the bounty. Anyway, I hate PvP and don't like being forced to play it to get something I got as a bounty playing in PvE. Bungie should never have forced players to do PvP if they don't want to!

I have good games and I have bad games(obviously mostly bad). Since I work FT and I have a family, it is hard for me to just stay home and get it done. I thought about deleting it from my Titan several times but at this point, I am committed. I have friends that have completed this bounty and are ready to help for the Xyor part but because of my schedule we rarely get on crucible together. I am using maxed out WOC, Secret Hand shake and Truth. Hang in there and Grind On...

Thorn isn't that good in PvE IMO. I wouldn't worry about completing it unless you want to play PvP
