exotic upgrades from zur
can anyone please help me understand what the point of the upgrades from zur are for. There is no explaination under the title as to what or whom these are aimed at. So far it has cost me 3 shards and circa 21,000 glimmer for what appears to be nothing. for example I had a fully upgraded helm saint-14 that maxed out at 116, this week zur sold an upgrade that appeared to show when fully maxed out at 124, so I pay 1 shard and 7,000 odd glimmer and all that happened was that it completely wiped out my fully loaded helm and now I have to level it up again from scratch....I have also done the same with two chest armour pieces and I still don't understand the point of what I should be doing with it.......pls help

4 RepliesIf you got the game after the dark below launched Stop upgrading your stuff it does nothing. It's for the players who have old weapons and armor with lower stats to upgrade

Edited by Roe Larry: 3/15/2015 4:24:04 PMI use them to upgrade the crappy gear Xur sells. If I get gear from Xur I buy 2 of them, level 1 of them while waiting for the upgrade to give better stats on the 2nd one I bought. For some reason all of Xur's gear has very low stats.

It upgrades the 300 damage weapons pre-DLC to 331 post dlc. Or armor light 30 to 36. If there already post Dlc gear, your just resetting the exp/skill tree. This is Not conformed but if you upgrade the w/it Xúr it might level up FASTER,

It does exactly that. I had a second helm I got from a nightfall intellect was only 109 so I upgraded it now it's 124 Re leveling exotic armor doesn't take as long as weapons do.
