Did everyone forget Xur sold Red Death before?...
I got it week 4, back when people started having enough coins for xur. Even before the buff it was a pretty damn good weapon. I don't get why no one saw the health regen thing as useful.

got my 1st from gorgon chest early Oct, upgraded it w/ Xur after TDB dropped. got my 2nd from Deathsinger 2 weeks ago got my 3rd from Xur whether Xur sold it or not, I would've got my 3rd eventually

2 RepliesThe vast majority of Destiny players did not have the game the first month it came out. Even if a lot of them did, most of them have probably stopped playing by now. Also, that was back when pulse rifles weren't nearly as good as they are now.

I bought It then b/c I wasn't blessed as most people were with an exotic drop. Chances are most of the people complaining were probably not loved as a child, still in their childhood years, and/or are christmas noobs who want attention.

1 ReplyMy first exotic was Red Death the first time Xur sold it. I liked the way it worked before the Bungie "fixed it". Rate of fire was a hair slower but it did a ton more damage per bullet. After the fix, a light bump in the fire rate and alot less damage per bullet.

I feel like a lot of this kids praising it are christmas noobs. Also, everyone wants it since the buff to pulse rifles. Most of these people probably broke it down for a shard.

5 RepliesHe sold it week 1 and week 4, and not everybody had their shit together with coins. Not to mention all the new players that didn't pick up destiny in the first month. After the buff, Red Death is now a two headshot kill in PvP with instant health rege and a faster reload. It's arguably better than Thorn and Hawkmoon if you use it right. So now the crucible is over run with a borderline OP weapon. Suros was nerfed so many times because it was very popular in the crucible. So what happens when Xur sells a much better weapon when almost everyone has a gross supply of strange coins? Everybody buys one and the crucible (and the upcoming Iron Banner) is flooded with the same two headshot kill weapon. So now you are at a serious disadvantage if you don't use either a red death, thorn, hawkmoon, or the last word. I can't be the only one that thinks Xur selling such a powerful pvp weapon is retarded.

If Xur gave out $100 people would complain that they "earned" their $100 and that Xur is making $100 less rare by giving it away. $100 is now useless. Only noobs accept free money.... smh
