it would be great if xur weapons would have a different color than the RNG counterpart so people could tell how they were obtained , they can keep the same stats and everything , just make them cosmetically different so we can keep feeling special
thanks bungie in advance for future implementation
you know some people are proud of they earned weapons and xur makes us feel less special , we deserve feeling special for all the hard work we put into a game
imagine if you just got your paycheck from a hard work ,while you carry your hard earned money home you see Oprah on the other side of the road handing out money to all the unemployed people who didnt do anything to earn theirs , how would you feel ?

Would like to see a pokemon style location tag to each piece of gear in the flavortext

This has been discussed a million times already. In my opinion, it's bad idea for a number of reasons, but one of the worst is that it would increase elitism. In addition to "You can't come on my raid unless you have weapon X," you would have "You can't come on my raid unless you have an RNG weapon X." The bottom line is this: Bungie has said repeatedly that they consider every method of obtaining an exotic - including Xur - to be legitimate. They are not going to implement a system to differentiate weapon sources that they consider to be of equal validity.

1 Replyuse raid weapons for feeling "special" then.. problem solved
-
Imagine if you worked hard to do the weekly heroic and you get your strange coins and xur is selling gjallarhorn how would you feel if oprah just gave away a gjallarhorn
-
I can't understand why this even matters to you? Who cares where someone got theirs? It's not like the RNG weapons were EARNED, they're dropped...randomly...based on a random number generator. How are these weapons any more impressive to have received than those purchased? Besides in either case you know the person had to complete some level of missions to get access to the weapon (strange coins ---> Xur vs. random drop) The good news is if this is what you have time to spending worrying about, then your life is going pretty well :)

Purchasing from xur: you get your monthly paycheck and go purchase oranges Getting exotic from raid or nightfall: you see Oprah giving out possible oranges if you dance That's not fair to the people who EARNED the coins, rng is not earning look at deej's post even he agrees

1 ReplyGood luck in life. You need it.

1 ReplyWell if there was a such thing as "earning " in this game the only way you would earn a weapon is by completing weekly for strange coins to buy it. Not hoping the game just "gives" it to you. Thank you sir.

Really? This is the most stupid thing I've read on these forums. And that is saying a lot because we are on Bungie's forums. What would you gain from knowing how others obtained their gear? Nothing. How does this change your gaming experience? It doesn't. Why should you care how others obtain their gear? You shouldn't. Have you not been properly loved and nurtured, as a child, growing up? If so, I can see why you need the constant feeling to be "special". Your analogy about the "paycheck" is absolute dumb-assery at its finest as well. With that thinking you should feel like like shit everyday because people are winning at gambling and lotteries everyday not earning their money.

I like your calmness with all the insults going your way. Very mature. I would say a very small tab could be on the weapon showing how you got it would be cool.
-
You know they should have people with different color skin, same parts and guts just a different skin color so you can tell who's special or not.
-
LMAO kids are funny. Don't worry bud, one day you'll have more in life than unlocking code.
-
It's a game, grow up or the real world is goin to eat you alive.
-
maybe just get a life and some success while you are there? so you dont need a heap of pixels to feel "special" `? JEEEZ!
-
1 Replymaybe there should be a 4 leaf clover on the RNG weapons as thats all it is, pure luck

I would applaud. Ms. Winfrey's charitable impulse. Which makes hers a better character than your rather mean spirited one.

3 RepliesEdited by N7 Dire Wolf: 3/26/2015 9:36:42 AMThere is not really such thing as earning a weapon in this game its all luck yes i got both my gallys from vog but did i earn them no i just got lucky i hate it when people go around saying how they earned their weapons and the people that got theirs from xur did not if anythink the people that bought theirs from xur earned theirs by doing the weekly to get the strange coins

3 RepliesXur=earned RNG=Oprah *According to OP

Why should it matter, you are more likely to earn strange coins in a weekly strike than getting it randomly from a strike. Even so you can also get strange coin the same way you get exotics, nightfall. You can earn them either way.
