Anybody tired of "I have max gally"?
Edit: I don't use rocket launchers (anymore). I own only one, and the only reason why I have it is because it's an exotic weapon (truth launcher)
Edit 2: turns out I had 2 rocket launchers. Scrapped the hunger.
You know what I see a lot? People saying they have a max gally. Know what that means? They have a rocket launcher. Know what is just as powerful? One way ticket. Know what can deal as much as 50x as much damage? An icebreaker. A heavy machine gun. An assault rifle. A hand cannon.
This game has been around for a while and it does nothing but piss me off when people think that a maxed gally will even help. What does it do? Make bosses move. Know what else? Can't do crit damage. Know what else? You have 4, maybe six shots. Know what makes that worse? It's a rocket launcher. You don't find ammo save for a rare occasion, or if you waste 1/25 of the max money count. 950 credits for 4-6 rockets every 5 minutes? Waste. Nothing more, nothing less.
People who have a gally have a good no-skill launcher for pvp. Not even good for boss fights, because once you run that ammo out, its back to firing nothing but primaries to survive. Maybe a secondary.
Think I'm wrong? Think it over again.
I will never recruit anyone for a raid, strike, or even a mission if they carry a gjallarhorn.

Is the Christmas noob mad that he can't get one? Seriously not recruiting someone for having a Gally? You know what was all the hype before that gun? Ice Breaker! People would pick you up on instant for having an Ice Breaker before the release of The Dark Below and The Hard VoG raid would take hours but not once did anyone make an idiotic post like this about the Ice Breaker! Whether you like it or not guns in this game equal power and rank.

The problem is that Bungie's idea of "difficulty" is stuffing enemies full of HP and giving them turbo-powered shields, which is why G-Horn is held in such high regard. The DPS is so high that it can shave minutes off strikes and raids when used properly. The problem isn't the gun, it's Destiny's PvE mechanics in general. Open your mind a bit.

That's cuz u don't have one. If you get one upgrade it and then come and talk. I like using other stuff but that gun is ridiculously good, especially for Crota. It does awesome damage on everything.

Your opinion , you are entitled to it. All weapons are situational. Horses for courses, I don't rule out any weapon. The more choice I have the better I'm able to adapt to a given situation.
