Do you have video to show that it came up in the feed for you and not for someone else? It is also worth noting that if your inventory a lot for an item is full it will be sent to the Postmaster. Things do not last forever at the Postmaster, so you would want to grab it from there and put it on a character or in the vault.

No I don't record on any games or nank neither do my mates we was just playing and it wAsent any where nothing was I got 2shards light in the abyss and Gally everyone see it come up for me cause my mates were moaning at me for it

I'm sorry man, I don't think there is anything to be done about it except to keep working until you get another one. Bungie has stated that they are unable to restore lost items.
