New Game mode Idea - 'Abandoned':
- I've edited and updated everything, especially the story enjoy!
The 'Abandoned' game mode is located where the crucible and vanguard are on the "choose location" thing. It's a free roam world where 15 guardians, who are spaced out across the map (where they won't bump into each other for a bit), have to survive hordes of invading Alien species (Fallen, Hive, Vex, & Cabal). Loot Chests are scattered all over the world/map and contain random loot drops ranging from rare-exotic weapons and armor. Each guardian spawns with nothing (no armor, weapons, sparrow, etc.) except your own shaders that you have on you. All weapons are equalized like in PvP except exotic weapons which do 3% more damage and exotic gear that give you 5% faster health regeneration. Guardians can choose to team up with each other or kill each other for loot and survival. There are revives, but when you die, you lose half of the points you earned and all the weapons and armor you got. The guardian/Fireteam with the most kills/points wins. Your Fireteam can only have 3 members, including yourself. How long your best survival time is will also have an effect on your reward system. EX: let's say in one life you survive one minute, and the other [your best one], you survive 2 min, So your survival time was 2 min while another person's best survival time is 5 minutes, if he earned more points, then he'll have a better chance at receiving something good. The less players on your Fireteam, the harder it is, meaning the longer you survive while earning more points with less players, the higher chance of receiving good rewards when the game ends. So, there is only 1 round, that lasts 30 minutes in a game of 'Abandoned'. Anything you got during the game won't stick with you/will be lost, except your rewards that you get when the game ends. Each chest will always be randomly generated w/ randomly generated loot every time, so a chest won't have the same loot every time. Chests reset every day/night cycle. Mobs will get harder to deal with everyday that passes.
Story- You receive a distress call from one of Jupiter's moon. You an 20 Guardians go and check it out because the distress call said to bring 20 guardians to help out. You ask them "help out with what?". The communications are starting to get jammed. All you hear him say next is "...invasion...". So the 20 guardians rush to Jupiter's moon (the one that sent the distress signal). Something shoots down all the ships when the enter the moons atmosphere. Only 15 Guardians survive (of your knowledge, you believe you are the only one left). You wake up several hours later, the ship is destroyed, ash and hard falling snow fills the air, and you are injured. You find a safe spot to hide, and you look around you and you see you landed in a destroyed and abandoned city (on Jupiter's moon) (each of the players cutscene will be different because they'll all be in different areas, but still in the large city). You see aliens (Either Fallen, Hive, Vex, or Cabal depending on where you are located on the map) starting to overrun the destroyed and abandoned city. 3 weeks later... You still haven't seen any other survivors but yourself. The word 'Guardian' barely means anything to you anymore. All you care about is surviving. You don't care what or who you kill. You are there thinking about what went wrong, when the ground starts shaking. You go outside your safe house and look outside. You see a huge awoken ship drop off supplies, an awoken uses the transmitter to inform you, "The vanguard is on their way. Survive by any means necessary!" It's now time for you to go find weapons and armor and survive by any means necessary, if that means teaming up with others or killing them for loot instead. (This is where the game starts...!)
Props to Trooper8059 for a small idea to help me out with the story
This sound more like a separate game that you should start developing right now cause i really want to play it. Remove the rounds, and the concept that you can win or it can end. This could follow your character through their struggles as they try to survive in a hostile environment: gather supplies, fend off the hordes, find other survivors, friendly and hostile. This could be your character's quest to figure out why they crashed, destroy the alien forces, and go home. Would be a beautiful offshoot game for destiny, as your character could struggle with their identity as a guardian and what it really means to be one. -blam!- comet and destiny 2, i want this.
Props to Goldenwolf3836
Sounds like Day Z with Guardians. I'm so in. Except it should be the entire patrol map and 25 to 30 Guardians. But it should definitely have a timer too. I'm thinking 30 minutes or so.
This would be intense and it would be a god fusion of PVE and PVP
Props to Doktimus Prime

Edit 1- Guys! This is not hunger games! Only 1 aspect is used from it and it is getting loot out of chests, which Destiny does anyway.

Came here expecting something like this: Abandoned, a mode in which: Befriend a guardian. Ride together, dance together. Be able to 'share' certain items when 'together', including vault items. Suddenly, during gameplay: Abandon them for better shit with new guardian. Coming soon.. Do you abandon? Do you accidentally your ? Do you abandoned? Did you sudokku?

How is there a city on Jupiter? You should really clarify that.
-
Hunger games with randomly spawning enemies? Bump.
-
Guys, it's only like day z and hunger games in 2 aspects out of the 30 their. Just saying

150 comments! Awesome guys! Keep them coming

It depends how big the maps are, because the one life thing could get pretty boring just sitting there watching everybody camp because they don't wanna die.
-
So it's basically H1Z1? That's pretty cool.

This topic has been...... REBORN

I like this idea, but I don't think it'll ever happen... :(
-
What you could do is have the maps be moons of Jupiter: Europa=snowy map etc.

H1z1 royal rumble??

Not really a good idea currently. The story needs a lot of work in this, because if only 15 guardians survived, then there goes the whole series. You can't add such a definite event to happen when there is so much more to be expanded upon. As stated before, this sounds a shit ton like the hunger games, and I don't care what anyone argues. The story would need to be reworked for it and without the 'story' added it is nearly the carbon copy in destiny. Even then there are many other details that would need to be reworked for balancing, longevity, and some sense of impermanence. Not to mention this would be like building something brand new from the ground up and would take a very long time with a lot of bungie's resources. The idea is improbable as well as impractical and needs lots of fixing if it is ever added to the game.

Do you know what it takes to make a game, there's no way you will ever get something like that in a game like destiny were everything's already full. What you are explaining is literally it's own game. Maybe if it was on PC, but on console that would not happen in a million years.
-
Well the story makes no sense there would be no point to the whole game if that was the story. So change that, otherwise sounds fun!

This topic has been REBORN! It's different now. It doesn't destroy Destiny anymore, and follows the story

Bump agaiiiiiin

Message to everyone who read this: The story has been updated. It doesn't destroy Destiny and intertwines with Destiny's story. Enjoy!!!

Here, keep the concept, I got the story. Travelling to the far reaches of Our solar systems, our guardians run into a fleet of Fallen Warships, barely escaping, but their jumpships are now in disrepair, you crash land into an unknown planet/moon. You manage to scavenge your ghost, but with your ship gone, there is no way back. Dinklebot surveys the area and alerts you of a base a couple miles ahead, but there are also strong signals of an unknown force surrounding you. You have landed on the Winter Kells territory. You have limited ammo, and must travel to seperate ammo caches scattered around the enviroment. This story takes place on a snowstrom driven world, and can be used to help you and the Fallen. Once you reach the base, you must defend the area until the Vanguard arrive.

So... Hunger Games in destiny??
I'M IN
