I'm not sure why but for some reason I felt that I should hold onto this thing.
Anyone else have this piece tucked away for no apparent reason?
Edit: Holy crap, did not expect this much love for a rifle that most probably discarded when they got their first legendary. I love reading all these posts! Sounds like this weapon is pretty nasty in the Crucible. I'll see you all on the other end soon ;)
Edit: OK so obviously we've outed this weapon as something people still use and are very much interested in.
**New question**: Do you guys think this weapon will be important to have later in Destiny's life? Be it that it could be upgraded, will it be required to obtain other things (weapons, story, quest lines) ? Great feedback so far!
Edit: Damn, over 500 responses! DeeJ make this happen, the community obviously hung onto this thing. Although it seems to be tucked away collecting dust. This gun needs it's own quest line,if it's not already in the cards. Love the feedback guys. Long live the Strangers Rifle!
Edit: You guys are awesome! Never thought this would get as much attention as it has. Over 850 responses! There is something truly special about this weapon. It shouldn't exist yet we hold it in our hands from time to time. It is real and it seems to be getting stronger. As we approach the Reef and the inevitable Fallen House of the dreaded Wolves the energy harnessed within this weapon grows brighter. Is it because it knows it's master is close... The Stranger.. Only she knows the true potential of this weapon and I'm hoping we get to ask her face to face.
Happy hunting Guardians and I'll see you all starside.
EDIT: GG guys! Just passed 1500 replies!! DeeJ, Bungie... If you don't have something in store for this weapon, the people here have spoken! Please do something cool with this. Would love to see its story continue.
Per audacia ad astra, Guardians.
See you starside.

I have.
-
Got rid of it assuming I'd eventually be able to get fate of all fools😂
-
Kept it
-
Yup, glad I kept it as it's awesome in the crucible now
-
Well either my game is glitched or people don't realize that if you complete the last mission you can get another. The only weapon I know you can only achieve one of on a single character is the Khovostov beginning auto rifle.
-
I have all 3 left, and 1 Khostov. Do you spell it Khostov?
-
Kept the Strangers Rifle and the Khvostov, purely because they are unique in appearance.
-
Kept one Strangers Rifle and one Khostov. Stupidly didn't keep my Hunters first cloak!
-
When I started my first character. I kept that gun. I felt like it had sentimental value. For some reason. I am now happy about it. And will never get rid of it. Especially because of the recent buff. It worked out :)
-
Yea its dope in PvP now
-
I still have one.
-
-
I did, its the only unique rare weapon, with a design that you would see on an exotic. Interestingly enough, its actually a pallette swap of the Fate of All Fools exotic scout rifle.
-
After dismantling the first several ones, I ended up keeping the last one I got just in case anything special ever happens to it. I doubt it will, but you never know...
-
I have kept it
-
I still kept it it's decent not the best but it's decent
-
I kept it cuz I hear it's good in pvp
-
Pretty good in the crucible
-
You know, if you need another. You just do the last mission again and voila
-
Deleting my Titan to get it back
-
I dust mine off and go in crucible sometimes for a laugh
-
I kept one, I don't really care for pulse rifles but this one is nice
-
-
It's impressive in the crucible.
-
yep, it's a good carry weapon for new characters too. Makes those last 4 levels go by a bit quicker
