Why datamine Xur?
Seriously Xur is one of the few interesting things left in the game every week besides the reset itself. Why ruin the surprise even if his selection is usually pretty mundane?
Edit: I didn't expect any replies at all. So nice to hear from the community! Its kind of surprising people still thought Xur was RNG based and not controlled. Apparently Megaman was trying to prove he wasn't RNG. That was my bad for not knowing ahead of time. Roll your system clocks back a few weeks and check Xur tomorrow. You can still see when he sold the Red Death and Ballerhorn unless they've cleared out his history. That should further prove that Xur has been planned from the beginning without taking away any of the fun.

Data mining will be helpful if your Coin bank is limited. It will allow u to save coin for something u know is coming. The trick is not letting Bungie know that u can successfully data mine. There is nothing to stop Bungie to repeat the RNG if it appears more users know the inventory in advance.

2 RepliesXur is pre-rolled around 1-2 weeks in advanced. It's still random. He is able to data mine and see Xur's pre-rolled random inventory. The only hint that he has ever given that it may no be RNG is that he said something along the lines of "Bungie may replace this Xur with another one" which suggests that there may be two or more pre rolled Xur's or a back-up Xur that they can replace him with.

U can see back but when going to the future Bungie changed it when it was announced I don't think he will be right 2 weeks in a row it will be changed ghorns for everyone

20 RepliesArgh you people need to actually read some of the reddit posts about this, everyone on there agrees that just because he can data mine and see what he has does not prove its not rng, it just proves they "ran" the rng before the game began if they were capable of hand picking what he has wouldnt they have changed what he was selling as soon as megaman posted....in my opinion megaman actually proves xur is RNG

I have almost everything now so I use xur almost only for rerolling armor stats so it's nice not needlessly leveling up a piece of armor that I'll just be grabbing higher stats on later. This games RNG mechanics have beaten the want for surprise out of me. Plus megaman was trying to prove it wasn't RNG so I'm also disheartened by xur knowing he's actually controlled.
