Oracle weapons.. go or no?
Is it worth it to use Oracle disrupting weapons during the Atheon fight in vog?
Looks like several great loadouts recommended below.. less wipes on Atheon errbody

If you don't use them on HM you don't do a great amount of damage on oracles and it causes team wipes. Pretty annoying, but glad you're asking.

I've heard good things about Pocket Infinity too, but I'm not sure about burning my special *and* exotic on it. In my opinion VoC or AE are the best choices, SGA is still solid if RNG has otherwise screwed you (I tried it just to try it and sure enough even after seven oracles I still had a few shots left in the mag) but then you better have a solid legendary sniper (LDR, Y09, Efrideet's, Black Hammer) to keep high DPS on Atheon. My usual loadout is VoC, Ice Breaker, Void rocket with proximity explosions (because it's more fun than grenades on Venus teleports). I just got Corrective Measure last week though, I may use that going forward. Edit: Added Praedyth's Timepiece and Fatebringer to the list.

standard weapon choices for me are as follows Primary AE VoC P-timepiece Depends what part of the raid Secondary Icebreaker P-revenge Long synthesis Swordbreaker Heavy Ghorn Song of ir yut - try it against Atheon trust me it's laugh he health melts

Just had a team of six and none of them(except me) had oracle damage... Hour and a half later of doing Atheon I couldn't take it and left...

My usual setup for VoG hard is Atheons Epilogue Icebreaker Corrective Measure I find AE downs Oracles much faster than VoC and CM just wreaks Atheon with or without Weapons of light. All subjective of course.

Yes when on Hard Mode. Use VoG for oracle disruptors. I find myself often using G-Horn Rockets to down oracles cause people aren't using VoG weapons for them.

3 RepliesAtheons epilogue maxed was doing 70 (I think) damage on hm atheon to oracle. Run out of ammo in a heartbeat. Maxxed abyss defiant was doing 130ish I think. Atheons is shit.

My Fatebringer is maxed and frankly my abyss defiant or my Bad Juju or Three Little Words all down them faster

9 RepliesThe only non-Oracle Disruptor weapon that I find acceptable on Oracles is Super Good Advice. And if they ever patch it to where Oracles stop returning ammo to the mag that will fall off the list. Otherwise run normal a couple of times to get a VoC, Corrective Measure, or Epilogue, and then come back to hard mode.

Yes, I always check if the people I'm raiding with have VoG weapons. It's not a deal breaker, but it does make it harder.

Sniper of your choice for atheon - he moves a lot with rockets and you can't use rockets in the bubble. I prefer p&t but whatever you can do the most dps with. Scout or hand cannon my preference for supplicants, but whatever you're comfortable with. SR/HC are better though as you can hit them from farther away.

SGA at Atheon Oracles or if you're at Templar...staying below I'd use VOC and if sniping from up top IB.

The vision fully upgraded is pretty nice but super good advice is complete ownage if you have that exotic.
