Are people really clueless about Red Death?
I enter a Crotas End Hard mode raid with randoms. Some guy checks out my gear, and says: "The Bad news is he's using a Red Death"
Epic face palm. Red Death is one of the best guns to use in Hard Mode Crota especially if you're the sword bearer because it regens health for every kill. You won't have to worry about orbs. Plus the recent buff makes it a beast. I guess he has no clue.
I really do hope Xur sells it so people can understand just what a beast of a weapon this gun really is. It maybe the best gun to have when House of Wolves drops just for the health Regen ability.
Edit: some people are missing the point. Not everyone has a Gjallarhorn, not everyone has a health regen helmet, not everyone generates orbs for Sword runners where they have to go and pick up the sword. Red Death guarantees a Sword Bearers survival against accidental damage from Thralls and Boomers. That is the point. Therefore, it is in fact not "Bad News" that someone uses a Red Death, at least you know they will not die randomly because they failed to grab an orb to regen health.

My question is... who the -blam!- actually cares what people are using and bothers checking... If you don't recognize the gun, that's about the only time someone would/should check... and if it's purple, you're good to go.

I have mask of the third man and if I'm swordbearer i will use red death sometimes. Depends on group. I like to still use ghorn on ogres and swordbearer. If i get really low health after first sword i will go to ogres and swap weapons and kill a thrall then switch back. I typically do glitch or can pop a synthesis so heavy is no biggie. But yes its great; strong and accurate

Hard Mode crota is ezpz. Normally u wont get any dmg, other then the crystal starting Phase

Lol. While I might prefer that everyone in my team have a GHorn and a health regenerating helmet, I have no problem with someone using Red Death. It's kinda the exact opposite of a problem, honestly. Worst case scenario I'll shoot two rockets for you. Since the heavy ammo glitch was fixed and Xur likes to sell it, I have no problem dropping a synth as long as we finish the Raid.

When people are focusing on weapons they lose sight of the fact it boils down to does this player know how to run hard, follow directions and have good aim? Because that is all that matters. Having weapons or armor that help keep you alive = smart player and someone I want to raid with.

When I run the sword, I use Red death. I won't be hitting Crota anyways so I'm not worried about using Gally. I have my HoC for that situation against ogres and swordbearer. I do use Gally when I'm on Crota duty tho. If I didnt have gear that healed me with orbs or by activating super, I most likely would use Red Death

Maybe he just doesn't realize that red death allows you to play a little more aggressively without the fear of death. For instance, when that invisible barrier drops and acolytes are shooting everywhere, I can litteraly strafe back and forth in the same little spot and lay down constant fire power the entire time. Where as if other folks get hit they start running and jumping around trying not to die. So I may be using a weaker weapon but I've quite possibly inflicted more damage than the next guy who is using a raid primary. And if you have to switch helmets back and forth really that's just more time being spent not causing damage. Meanwhile the red death keeps going and going and going.... And don't forget about being able to have full health for the sprint to the ogre room. Priceless!

Red death ? Are xboxs dying again? Lol jk red death is awesome. I prefer the abyss defiant because of the solar. I usually dont lose health on crota anyways but that perk is cool

4 RepliesRed Death is noob but having a helm to regen isn't? Sometimes your super is full and you need an alternative. Better to save orbs than wasting a super to get orbs. If everyone has Red Death Black Hammer Hunger of Crota You should have no problems dying or killing and talking Crotas shield down.

for sword carrier maybe, other wise exotic should be the mighty ghallahorn, although our sword carrier uses his g-horn to take out swordbearerer quickly to get a smooth run. in all fairness we rarely struggle with health in crota battle, if a boomer gets us, the red death aint going to help at all, you are dead anyway. but still yeah, nothing wrong with red death for raid

50 Replies"Not everyone has a health regen helmet" Step 1: Go to the tower. Step 2: Visit the factions. Step 3: Buy a helmet and quit complaining like it is some kind of rare Crota-only drop. If you don't have a helmet right now, then that is your fault, you aren't trying hard enough.

5 RepliesHell yea bro. That thing is a monster in both PvE and PvP. That dude was an idiot my good sir. My set up is The Red lady, Black Hammer and HoC when I run sword. It absolutely is the best set up along with mask of the third man helm in my opinion.
