The Siege of Jeksis; Chapter 2: The Kell of Epiphany

Hello guardians, this is AnonPig of The Collective of Fanfiction and I'd like to take this moment to invite all writers and readers alike to join! This is a single part of a much larger story, A New Dark Shines, to read from the beginning of the beginning: Arttu and the Ahamkara-Chapter 1; The Spine The Kell of Epiphany Cayde-6 was extremely serious, a Fallen house had actually claimed a kingdom. It's not too absurd when you get down to thinking about it, but it is unsettling. In the cold north east of the Old States there was now a small nation, and it was growing, if other Fallen houses were to reach out to this one who knows what other places they may claim. "Jeksis is powerful, that much we know. She has a strong..." Cayde-6 was cut off by Arttu. "She?!" Arttu asked incredulously. "I didn't know there were Fallen women." Cayde-6's face didn't change. "...hold on the lands there, and with it being winter there's not much we can do now to reclaim it. Your task is to infiltrate it as far as you can. And learn everything that you can about her, her subjects, and her lands. This is non negotiable Arttu. You're doing this mission." "Hey, I'd love to, it honestly sounds exciting. What's this house called anyway?" "We've gathered that they call themselves the House of Epiphany. They wear silver white cloaks with a green swirling insignia. In the woods with the snow, they're almost invisible." Cayde-6 replied. ~ Arttu had a lot to think about, this was a big mission, but then again it was non negotiable. He might as well just throw himself in and hope for the best right? This Kell of Epiphany is clearly different from other Fallen though, so he should take precautions. He decided to train by fighting the Fallen down on earth, these fallen he knew well and he could easily defeat them. But not all Fallen are alike, especially ones where the terrain is completely different. From what Cayde-6 said these seem to lurk in plain sight invisible to everyone. The snow was heavy in Old Russia, but Arttu quickly assimilated to the environment. with his White armour shader he was an unseen killer, ether flew from the heads of Fallen he had laid to rest. Flashes of the Cabal from mars with ether flowing from their necks came to him. He grew dizzy and fell over. He lay there unconscious in the deep snow, unseen by the Fallen. Thankyou for reading, this is your friendly neighborhood AnonPig reminding you to live beyond the story! Chapter 3; Fragmented Memories
