There are a few things my friends and I have been arguing over. Hopefully someone can shed some truth on them to prove me right.
First of all, almost all of my friends claim that servitors steal energy from the other fallen. They probably think that because the fallen look like they're bowing down to Sepiks on the strike and you'd think a big boss would feed off of the minions. But I'm pretty sure it's the other way around, like how engineers shield the covenant in Halo. The intro dialogue even says "Feeding THEM their strength", not "Feeding OFF their strength."
Next, this one isn't just in our group, but a lot of randoms I play with think it this way too. You don't EAT the glimmer boosting consumables right? Even when I raid with randoms I always hear "One sec, gonna eat a black wax idol," or "Eat some polyphage for more glimmer," on gatekeepers. I'm not sure what we do with those, but I'm positive that you don't EAT them, right?
Last, this was just something I was curious about, but I saw some warlock armor that gave an extra grenade. Does that mean with the sunsinger perk, you can have 3 grenades?
TL;DR:
1) Fallen powers servitor or servitor powers fallen?
2) Black wax, ether seed, polyphage...Eat or no?
3) Armor perk + gift of sun = 3 nades?
-
1. Servitor gives fallen strength 2. No eat 3. Only 2 nades max even with perks
