So, I main a Warlock. I have since day one. Recently though with the release of The Dark Below, I realized that I needed to start more characters. I finished maxing my bladedancer first, and then moved to gunslinger. I'm expecting to have this epic throwing knife that OHK (One Hit Kills) stuff in the crucible ML-frikin-G style. I peg a guy with a critical knife and he doesn't die! Titans have shoulder charge, that's a OHK. Warlock melee is very powerful with the over shield and range. Why is throwing knife not a OHK?

even BLADEdancer doesn't have a OHK. unless backstab with perk.
-
Because it's aim assist is -blam!-ing retarded.
-
From what I remember is the reasoning of Bungie was that the Throwing Knife can be used at a distance keeping the player safer from harm.
-
Most of the time for me if I'm ever in a situation where I want to use it, the guy already has shots into him
-
One thorn shot then knife.

Unfortunately, it is not a OHK. It deals around 140 dmg with the ignite perk for subclass. The rest you'll have to do. My strategy is to take some of their health down and then when he comes close (with a shotgun lol) I just throw it at the head. I love seeing them rage quit like that lol.

During the Bungie Dev open house someone asked why a throwing knife wasn't a OHK and Shoulder Charge was. The Dev said it was because the throwing knife is a melee ability and shoulder charge is a perk on the skill tree. I personally think it should be a OHK, especially if you have the incendiary blade perk.

Throwing knife would be severely OP as a OHK. Already one of the best melee abilities in PvP. Much better than shoulder charge and as good as scorch with flame shield if not better. Especially if you run instant melee regen on crit kill.

I believe DeeJ said Throwing knifes has more range than the melee and shoulder charge.

If you tell me you can throw a knife faster then a gun can shoot bullets, then go ahead. + Bullet proof helmet.

Edited by BoxMaker: 3/10/2015 8:52:18 PMThe fact that it has actual range since you throw it and can hold two of them and if you got criticals, you can keep getting them back and throwing them would make it very powerful. It would make for some cool gameplay that is actually skill based but noobs would call it hax0rz

it is OHK if its a headshot and also leaves the enemy with a smudge of health if have burn damage

Bump.
