I'm away on business two nights every week and sorely miss playing Destiny.
To rectify this I plan to take my PS4 with me in my stay at a Premier Inn hotel.
If I pay for their super duper broadband will my console be able to use it,and will it be sufficient to play Destiny?
Can anyone share any thoughts?

I recently stayed in Hilton in the States and had no issues once I worked out where stable wifi signal was in my rooms .You may get whacked by some fair use policy

There have been many reports of issues with staying connected to the game when using Hotel internet. The issue is rarely the actual bandwidth and more to do with the hotel identifying certain types of connections and downgrading their priority to the point where you will deal with large amounts of packet loss. It is a good idea to communicate with the hotel IT department about what you would like to be able to do and if they think it will be an issue or not.

1 ReplyI would just like to thank Engrapadora for carpet bombing this thread. It has been too long.

YES MY LIFE IS COMPLETE. So this is what an engra carpet bomb looks like. I feel blessed.

2 RepliesYou'll be behind strict NAT, assuming your console can navigate their welcome page and get the internet switched on. Better to tether it through your 4G.

Engra is here. Thread is kill. Run.

Edited by Aegis Mind: 3/9/2015 4:42:36 PMI would imagine that you'd encounter some strange error codes, and even when you got it to work after much hassle, you'd find that your one-two hours of playtime went by faster than you had anticipated.

1 ReplyNo idea But the next gen consoles usually require the router to be reset, and getting a place like that to do that is near impossible.

You'll probably have to reorganize your Playstation Network settings. And good luck figuring out how the TV works.
