People will tell you it's easy, but that's because they just "cheese" the puzzle. I guarantee almost every response before mine was people telling you how to cheese it in some way.

There's not really a way to "cheese" it. You have to get from one side of the other without falling into the nothing. There are some different ways to do that. If any of the methods weren't valid, Bungie would have patched them long ago.
