I've had this game for a week now. I think it's a gorgeous game and I love the atmosphere, but I'm finding it a little a difficult and have a hard time staying motivated to play it. I play the game 30 minutes to an hour at a time, then I get into something else. I do love the game though, it just seems to be die a lot to get to a checkpoint and map it out, then repeat. It just doesn't seem to flow. Anyone else feel this way?

I agree the tension is amazing. I'm only on like chapter 3 so hopefully I can get more into it.

Maybe it's not your kind of game? I binged on it over a weekend and beat it on hard. My first few hours got annoying but I think it was me just settling into the gameplay. After I outsmarted the xenomorph a few times at close range and started to get a grasp of his mechanics, I felt a little more empowered and crammed on it. Although the creature eventually loses his initial shock, I never lost that feeling of tension when it was in the area. I basically crouched through my entire 27 hours with the game and loved every minute of it.

What chapter are you on? It really didn't grab me until number 6.

Alien:Isolation is a primarily a stealth game and is designed to generate tension, which it does brilliantly. Since stealth is my favourite gaming genre I think it is pretty much perfect. That said, even I found it difficult to play for more that an hour at a time before I had to take a break. I was well chuffed when I beat it on nightmare difficulty. Cheers bro :-)
