Pulse rifles aren't top tier
/opinion
They were balanced well, though.
The red death is like a low B and 3lw is a high B. Bad Juju is an A for sure.
Suros got nerfed to like a B and all thats really left is Thorn and Hawkmoon at S tier. Vex suffers from lag too much to be there. It's a high A due to it not being hit scan.
what do you think? this is for primarys, i understand felwinters lie is an S and all the other sg's got nerfed.. primaries.

Not all are top tier, but Red Death or any broken Super Pox VLO/Three Little Words will 2 shot people.

7 RepliesIn my opinion Red Death is beast in crucible. If you got all headshots in two bursts it is a kill. This is not that hard to do because of its high stability. Bad juju takes much longer to kill And not as easy to get headshots. I feel like you are a person that likes auto rifles because that is what bad juju is. Where three little words and red death are high impact beasts like the best hand cannons. Final thoughts I love hand cannons like Timur's lash and red death is the Timur's lash of pulse rifles

They're much improved, but I still only rock red death. And, occasionally, Oversoul. Otherwise I'm more a hand cannon guy. Now if you were talking about Red Death 1.0, well, then...

They're more balanced now yeah but not completely overpowered their ttk is more inline with all the other guns except thorn, last word, hawkmoon, vex. Nothing comes close to those.

5 RepliesThat's because your looking at the wrong ROF pulse rifles. The patch buff inflated the dps of oversoul edict, coiled hiss, etc... more than red death or anything with a slower ROF. Whereas three little words kills in 1.15s, coiled hiss kills in .94s. Do ya homework!

I am a recent convert from ARs to PRs and Red Death has been an absolute beast for me in Crucible. Its my only load out primary at this point. Red Death Felwinters Lie Against all odds (drop) Helm that heals with orbs. Easy loadout for racking up k/d Used on a hunter for now.

Red Death and Bad Juju are great just because of their exotic perks, having health or regen or extra super energy per kill is excellent utility that can help you out in the long term. Sure they can't kill as fast as the exotic HCs though but the trade off is usually worth it.

Red death and Bad Juju are top tier for sure. IMO because they are exotic they deserve an above average performance and great perks.

4 RepliesRed Death is absolutely an A. I would put Thorn on the same level as Red Death, honestly, with Hawkmoon as the mega-weapon. Vex has been far less effective lately, not just at range (for whatever reason).

6 RepliesRed Death is fun to use against thorn users. (yes I have both) Thorn users can't depend on the poison to kill their targets to earn them a postmortem, bcuz of the health regeneration perk.
