So is a elitist someone who brags about their stuff and thinks their better than everyone? I've had my fair share of crota completions because I like running sword for groups, does it make me a bad person for getting frustrated with people trying to tell me how to run sword when I can probably run it in my sleep? (probably not but..) i'm always open to tips but people telling me how many hits and such to get is just so irritating. Anyone else understand?

Whilst I'm not normally a swordbearer, I try to help run inexperienced players through raids every week and the amount of times I have someone who has only done it one or two times tell me I should try doing it this way. I'm fine, thanks. I've done each raid enough times to know the mechanics of it.

1 ReplyThis can be for just about anyone relying on someone else to beat some part or cp...complaining when youre sitting their wondering why they arent doing it themselves. I love the ones that leave fireteams complaining it should get done way faster, all the while theyre dying like evertone else or mot pucking up relic....you get the point

Edited by Daoist_JJ: 3/5/2015 11:12:44 PMWas top 20 in teams that beat Crota hard day one. 2 hours of awesome excitement as a sword bearer. Killed his ass, tower dance party rejoiced with our glowhoo's. Run Crota 5x minimum every week since then. Last week had a team of younger kids (29-30's) with terrible rockets that weren't maxed out and some used mg's, decided to help them out by running sword. Guy tells me how to do it. I asked him if he's ever ran sword or beat Crota. "No but I've seen videos" I wasn't gonna brag about my accomplishments to vindicate myself (I mentioned it in the beginning to show I know what I'm doing) First try, get my regular swipe swipe slam slam combo in, Crota insta smashes me. Glitched. He scoffs and laughs as a 32 fails. Told him to reset it. He doesn't. Go at it again and same thing. Told him to give me party leader and I take us to orbit and back in. Works fine now, they have no heavy ammo though and have to primary him down. 3 swords later beat him. Left immediately. My skill with a sword can't do anything with a trash team backing me up. Sword bearer should always be point man and have the teams ear.

1 ReplyYeah like the guy who always says tell us when to shoot. Like uh yeah don't worry I will. I guess it's better than them just shooting whenever they feel like. I feel your pain thogh.

6 RepliesYou're not the only one. It gets annoying after you try doing favors and you get squeakers telling you how to run sword. Entertaining sometimes, but irritating.

2 RepliesI always run sword, have like 30-something crota kills across my characters...the worst thing is when people try to tell me how to swordbear, but even worse is when someone else who thinks they're good goes in, and you know you could do so much better, but they're like "no I wanna run it"

1 ReplyEdited by Lance: 3/5/2015 11:00:48 PMMy favorite is the "32 with maxed gally?" message when they don't even have Gjallarhorn. Beggars can't be choosers.

2 RepliesRan sword 3 times first timed Crota every time. Not trying to brag, but I'm sure there's lots of good sword bearers out there

1 ReplyRule #1 in CE: DO NOT tell the sword bearer how to do his job, unless he asks.

Always: in the swordbearer we trust.
