How to make 4th Horseman THE best PvE shotgun

[i]Warning: I do not have 4th horseman, and I am talking about it before the patch statscrew made it a sad felwinters lie[/i] When I first saw the 4th Horseman, I legitimately thought that it would be the PvE shotgun that would help change the games meta, however, once I saw the range and the not-so-exotic perks, I thought, crap, back to square one. This is what I think is an actual way to make the 4th Horseman good in PvE, without changing a single base stat or stat mods. [b]1. Change Thunderer to Full Auto[/b] (who are we kidding bungie, you just slapped a fancy name and icon on it) [b]2. Replace Final Round with Range Finder[/b] (this will give 4th Horseman some additional range while ADS as it's range is crap, this makes it able to be heard without whispering in their ear) [b]3. Replace Return to Sender with Thunderer perk[/b] (return to sender has a lacklustre chance of working, thunderer will work differently) [b]4. Change how Thunderer perk works:[/b] consecutive hits will increase the damage of the next shot across the entire magazine (2.5% per shot), additionally, a kill with this weapon will return 1 round to the magazine. (I think this would work as it would have a drastic increase in damage output for bosses, as well as make return to sender work, but not being op) For TL:DR: thunderer increases damage output, rangefinder helps unhinder range Anyways, tell me what you think, if bungie could comment, that would be great, if you can give me a slightly increased chance of getting it on Friday, also great, I would like to say again that I don't have this weapon, this is just my opinion, if you do have this weapon, tell me what you think!   • I honestly love the Horseman as it is. I can agree on that it kicks like a mule and the range is kinda on the low side, but that just suits my playstyle anyway. Just like any shotgun the Horseman really hurts within the max damage zone, perhaps more than most shotguns because its impact is second only to Felwinter's. You just have to be a bit closer than with other shotguns. Sacrificing all stability for double base range isn't too bad tradeoff either, because most shotguns just kicks straight up and a timely nudge on the stick when firing makes the recoil fairly easy to control, even with 0 stability. I am running as much range as I can on it with 0 stability and I think it is a beast in PvE because I am throwing myself into the thick of enemies without Lightswitch so the low range doesn't bother me. It also works surprisingly well in PvP, as long as you stay away from long-range encounters. It just needs you to adapt a little bit.

      Also, make killed enemies explode in arc light like thunderlord. And then let us use 2 exotic weapons at the same time. Fatebringer + fourth horseman + thunderlord = epic arc awesomeness.

      • I was blessed with this weapon before the traveler tamed the beast. Before I was afraid of its power..... what is this strange weapon..... what forged light created this monster... this detroyer of darkness with 600dp for every exotic pellet that embeded in the ether enriched flesh of the fallen. Now that it has been tamed I have some respect.... the loyalty is there and will continue to attended to itknowing one day it will destroy once more

        • Why would I want too? There are better exotic choices than a shotgun taking up the slot. MIDA, Bad Juju, Ice Breaker, Hawkmoon, Gjallarhorn, and Truth are a few that come to mind.

            • It also got reset to default and they said they have to fix/buff it because if you look the base stats are nerfed it got reset in 1.1.1

              • The forth horseman rocks if you use it right. Once you have 1 bullet left just hold the trigger down. That way you are always on the final round and you reload each bullet as you fire. It fires quicker than a fusion rifle and does a ton of damage because of the final round boost. And the return to sender perk rewards you a bullet normally ever 2-4 kills which will keep your streak going.
