After downing Hard Crota within the first 2 hours of release, we farmed him to death since. All but a couple of us have literally every drop possible from hard and normal CE. We made a collective decision to stop scheduling raids, pending new content.
Most of us are playing Crucible, when we aren't playing other games. I am enjoying the Inferno Control mode, and I'm truly hoping Bungie expands upon that idea during the dreaded content gap.
Any other clans in the same rickety boat?
The End
Edit: Added a gratuitous Clash match for emphasis.

Edited by ThisMahSwamp: 3/6/2015 7:01:28 PMMy entire clan, which only really consisted of enough people to fill out a raid, has stopped playing Destiny entirely. We have all logged at least 600 hours, and a few 1000+ (myself included). We all used to look forward to the weekly reset, often knocking out 3 Nightfalls and 3 raids in the same day. No more. It has become increasingly obvious to the lot of us that the current iteration of Destiny is hugely flawed. If it isn't the massively weighted drops and subsequent unrewarding gameplay, it's the incessant grinding that takes its toll. I, and the majority of my clan feels similar in the matter, have never been more consistently let down by drops in an RNG based game in my gaming life. It's -blam!-ing atrocious! Dare I mention my feelings towards upgrading gear. Why....why on earth would we have to upgrade armor and guns to make them usable? It is blatantly obvious this mechanic was included to artificially increase the games longevity. Why the hell do we have to collect 10 different materials/shards/resources to upgrade these damn things? Why the -blam!- does it take hundreds of them to level up ONE damn item? What the hell was the thought process behind resetting exotics when the damage upgrade rolled around in TDB? I will continue to log in on Tuesday and knock out 3 Nightfalls, but that is all I will do. I won't do another bounty, raid, or weekly until some sweeping changes are made. I may not even touch HoW even though I already purchased it. You can literally go an entire week and experience nothing but soul crushing pain as you receive jack shit. That is wholly unacceptable in my book, and frankly, I am surprised I put up with it this long. You may see me PvP some from now on, but I'll be damned if I do much else. EDIT: This has me a bit fired up and I have a few other things rolling through my mind... > Why does it take two weeks worth of Marks to purchase a SINGLE weapon > Why don't the Vanguard, Crucible, and Faction inventories change every so often > Why are there seemingly 100 different currencies to purchase and upgrade gear (clunk fest 2015) > Why is there literally NO build diversity > Why is 80% of my game time used to complete bounties > Why is the Nightfall still dropping Ascendant Materials and Strange Coins > Why do legendary engrams decode to materials??!?!??! If I wanted materials I would dismantle the damn gun FFS! > Why don't bosses drop loot as shown in pre release Bungie videos > Why are chests worthless Just a few more gripes I suppose....

33 combine raid finishes and you are stopping? Get to the 50 mark for the grim card at least
-
We stopped doing the raids at reset and altogether 3 weeks ago, most of my clan doesn't play at the moment or only plays a few hours during the day, I play crucible with a few others at night for a few hours
-
cool story bro
-
Yup. HMCE was on farm status within a week. Now it's just if someone needs something, but that's about it.
-
Same here, only a few exotics I don't have, only one I care about(Hawkmoon) and still no black hammer. I've been spending most of my gaming time playing dragon age lately. Destiny is just started getting boring now. I'll come back for nightfall and normal Crota on Tuesday, but that's about it til HoW
-
Same all I need is the sparrow and will be done
-
I literally just got to that point last night. Been doing anything I could to get that last and elusive exotic (red death) and then realized the chances of me getting one particular exotic are so slim and it's not even one I really want I just don't have it. I have all raid weapons and tons of coins, all three characters are 32 and now I'm bored. It's crucible for me too and maybe Dying light or battlefield until HoW
-
Yep, my clan pretty much went defunct two weeks ago. Most of them are off playing other games. Haven't done a clan activity in quite some time.
-
Same here I'm only missing the warlock helmet and woc and crux an I have one of every class all 32
-
Same with my clan pretty much... We started pvp'ing as group and its ultra fun!
-
Lol you have 24 croata completions.. Keep your story going please.
-
Same here, We have one guy who plays everyday, most went to evolve/dying light/assassin creed, I manage to grab a new guy, so Im using that as my excuse to catch up on not playing for a couple months. Im assuming Most of us will come back for HoW, but I assume the same thing will happen again. Right aftet a majority of us get sone decent stuff.
-
If I would have written this, every single statement would have been true. Beat him in the first 2 hours, 100+ hard clears since. Crucible for days now
-
My clan is near death's door. We still play it because we have one or two who want crux. We did flawless last week out of boredom. My clan hates PvP and doesn't ever play it. We're all hoping the rumored VoG upgrade hits soon before HoW so we have something to do. The game's timeline at this point puts its player count at risk. Once people walk away, they don't tend to return. People are walking away because their is nothing to do.
-
Yep, same here. I'm still missing Crux and Black Hammer but I never really feel in the mood for it anymore.
-
My clan has 3 members that still play out of twenty
-
Not in a clan but yeah..have everything in CE twice if not more..Now adays I have all inventory full.. so all the guns i receive from CE just goes to the Postmaster.. and I let her hold onto them.. that Vault is too small otherwise.. It has been 3months.. If we were on the same timeline as before HoW would be released around now.. Tho if we've learned anything from the raids... VoG - Had a Plan.. CE - Wing It.. See what happens.. sooo im sure more time is better in the long run..
-
I have ran crota hard once my raid team quit they could not down him.... they had to always pug like 2 or 3 people for raid and it did not help I was moved to third shift when crota hm cam out and they all work 2nd shift... but I just want the WoC and auto rifle and won't do the raid anymore
-
Yup, same story with my fireteam...
-
My clan too, we've all stopped playing Destiny altogether. Not fun any longer so we're just waiting for HoW
-
My clan is starting to go that way. A lot of us have stopped raiding. Making raid grinding was a terrible design decision. I like the teamwork involved in aetheon fight. Crota is puts everything in the hands of basically one person. If you don't have a good sword bearer you have no hope.
-
Similar with ours..Except we are hosting 101's, How to run the sword, Raid Mechanics, Flawless attempts, etc now.
-
want to join a decent clan so bad would literally pay for it lol
-
Edited by LbN SneaK: 3/6/2015 5:22:22 PMYep, very disappointing. Everyone in my clan has moved on..
-
Still running ce and vog. Just for fun. Everyone already has everything they need cept for me not getting a blackhammer. Next to that we roll out in the crus just for the laughter. You got killed by boomer??? Hahahahahah!!!!!!! Thats what it sounds like nowadays
