Do Atheons Epilogue or Preadyths revenge make a big difference?
Hi. Have acquired both these guns and haven't really bothered with them yet but just wondering if the boost they have for taking down oracles accounts for much? Worth levelling up?

Oracle disruptor is similar to luck in the chamber except more often than just once. It helps quite a bit.

I use VOC and Atheons Epilogue in the VOG even though I have exotics that may be 331. The oracle disruptor is clutch. With that said, it doesn't mean that other guns wont work, but rather those guns work very well in VOG.

9 RepliesIf you don't have any other weapons with the Oracle perk, then they'll make quite the difference. Only exception is super good advice. It's a machine gun with unlimited ammo against oracles.

They are both a great addition to a collection. Ae is great in vog and is just fun to use. The sniper is great for void stuff and I love the fire fly and reload perks

2 RepliesAE is the best hard mode Atheon gun IMO. With a good connection, you should be able to drop 4 oracles per 84 round magazine. I have been using the AE, Ice Breaker, Corrective Measure combo for a while and it's never more than 2 time's vengeance. The PR is a sniper and not a good choice for the teleport sequence. The AE allows you to use your primary on oracles and your special and heavy on Atheon. People who use specials or heavy's on oracles are taking away from total damage on Atheon because they do more damage than a primary.

Atheon's epilogue is decent for oracles and praedyth's revenge is best for crucible

I got AE last week yet to use on an Oracle but good at ripping Shields down. I know a lot of people say its a marshmallow gun and it is but personally I like it. I use it in pvp and it does kill if you can string those headsets. I'm hoping the Oracle element was worth the leveling. I'm with other comments though I use icebreaker on several as it still packs a punch.

Praydeths revenge is great for bounties and stuff, but crota raid it is almost worthless.

1 ReplyI have AE and think it's decent against oracles, but not great. Fortunately, it has a big magazine, because it takes a lot of bullets to take one down. I end up switching between AE and Ice Breaker on alternating oracles. I have leveled up Super Good Advice to the point where it has almost infinite ammo against oracles and the oversoul (Crota Raid), and will be trying it out on oracles in the next couple days. Should be good.

Yes preadyths is a great sniper and ae is ok but i would level of you don't have another primary with Oracle disruptor
