Red Death - Death of the Crucible?
You've been shot by it. You probably didn't see it or feel it as it happens so quickly from any range.
Personally, I'm losing interest in the crucible. Shame really. So much potential.

I assume your asking because you don't have one or have been killed by it a significant amount lately? But honestly it's equal in my opinion. It gives an edge against the thorn users so that's a plus. It's loses to ARs at short range. Pretty even at mid range against scout rifles. Been my go to gun for PvP now that it shines again like it used to before they lowered it's impact. Back to 2 burst headshots. No nerfing needed.

Bungie gives Pulse rifles a buff as no-one was using them and they were underpowered , now this week pulse rifles are OP. Meanwhile PVE is getting progressively less effective weapons which in turn means a longer more frustrating grind or a narrowing of viable options in higher lvl content. I'm fed up of Nerfs brought on by PVP crybabies ruining the experience for the rest of the player base. Hand cannon initial shot accuracy is so bad now ( compared to what they were before ) that often even at close to medium range even when the first shot is perfectly lined up for a critical it will often miss completely or just hit the body of an enemy. All because of people crying about Thorn in crucible.

Scout rifles are still the relatively unused king of PvP if you take your time and keep your wits about you. (Or, grind IB and get yourself a Gheleon's Demise...same perks as The Rapier with higher impact and more rounds, at the expense of losing some rate of fire.)

I find bad juju and oversoul edict to be better for crucible than red death

Lol, no. I still get killed my AR's, handcannons, shotguns, snipers, fusion rifles, scout rifles, machine guns and rocket launches, and supers as much as i did pre patch. Red death, although it is good still requires you to aim towards the head or else its still a 3-5 pulse kill. As someone who mained pulse rifles before the buff all i can say is they are a little better now but not overpowered. I could 2 shot before the patch, i can 2 shot now, nothing drastic has changed. Stop being a nub and... ADAPT!

People used Red Death like a fad after the new patch. Don't worry, thorns are coming back in force.

It's just the latest fad and BUNGIE is getting exactly what it wants. 1. So you've now been killed by a weapon that you used to laugh (we all laughed at) and that for some reason is unacceptable ? 2. The good news is that not a lot of people have it because it was a junket for so long lol. 3. I still use my ARs, Hardlight is my favorite in PVP for the time being. I tried the pulse rifles and I'm just not good with them. People say this gun is junk but I get 16-18 kills avg (all depends on how you use it) 4. Pulse Rifles are the new "easy kill gun" [b]this is no different then when Regime, vex, TLW, or any other high powered gun dropped[/b] 5. The good people will adapt, the less skilled people will not. What that really means is in a week once people have figured out a counter the people getting easy kills with it now will no longer find it that easy and will quit using it. The people that are skilled with it and continue to use will continue to get kills with it. Same as suros and Hardlight pfff take down the dps that's fine (they also dramatically shortened its range) I use it, still love it!!! Just had to adjust my play style is all. Wax on Wax off Danielson. What that really means is you get out what you put in. Adapt and overcome.

8 RepliesI don't get the exotic complaints on here referring to PvP. A lot of people seem to complain that these weapons are OP, but I don't have a single exotic period. All these complaints do is make me want one, esp the Red Death lol. I'm no amazing gamer so if I get killed I chalk it up to playing badly, my defense and/or armor not being high enough, them having a better gun regardless of which specific gun, etc...which is all on me. My point is I don't think these weapons need their stats altered. If it's a good gun you should just want to own it not mess it up for the lucky players who do. These are extremely rare drops so it's only right they be happy they've got one and use it.

3 RepliesI wish more people would "loose interest in the crucible" they seem to be the people always crying and asking to nerf everything. Plus all the events are for the crucible. With out it maybe when could get more content and bungie could work on fixing the story.

I only ever die that quickly if I rush someone or I ran around a corner unprepared, but that happens with pretty much any weapon tbh.
