It's a good sniper, but for pve it's no icebreaker. I don't PvP much but it seems like it would be pretty beastly.

You sir are an idiot. Icebreaker may have extremly high impact but its a shitty sniper. The scope is really close and that recoil is insane. Yeah it has amo regen but you can only fire 7 - 8 shots in a row than its empty and u have to wait a minute. PaT fires extremly fast and has very low recoil with lower but still good impact. I have 24 shots when its full. After killing 20 enemies with it im sure im gonna find some more ammo.

I'm an idiot because I prefer icebreaker over patience and time? I'm happy to see opinions make us stupid. If you prefer it then more power to you, that is your opinion. I like the higher impact and full body firefly effect. You do not have to agree with me, but try a little tact, something this forum sorely needs.

I called you an idiot because you say 'its no icebreaker" I read that alot. It makes icebreaker look like its THAT gun you need to play and people believe that and dont try anything at all and everybody is running around with the same looadout and its just boring. People dont even seem to try to use other guns. Its the same with ghorn. And thats just idiotic. There are guns that play much better than icebreaker but people like you create an opinion thats just wrong and people feel to be forced to play with it just because the team thinks another gun is shit which isnt true in most cases.

Honestly if I could get that "icebreaker" perk on my ldr 5001 I would prefer that. There is a reason it is considered the second best exotic behind Gjallarhorn, so calling someone an idiot for reverie is close to ignorance.

Yeah the ammo regen is really nice and comes inhandy in some situations. But honestly you dont need that perk. You get enough ammo when you use your sniper right. U seem like you know what you are talking about when you are using the LDR. There is no need for amo regen most of the time. If it was you couldnt use any other gun but icebreaker. And that icebreaker is considered the second best exo is simply because people create a hype about it. Or they are just to bad to play without. Same thing is when people demand a Ghorn in the raid. There is no need for it

If I need another sniper rifle I will generally keep icebreaker on hand to regenerate ammo. For instance, juggler nightfall. I tend to get more heavy ammo but tend to snipe a lot so less drops there. Switch to Ib get 8-10rounds for the other sniper without having to venture out of my safe zone. Just like all weapons it is situational.
