For me, Bungie's Halo Reach is where the cracks started to show in the then Halo series. Halo 4 by 343i felt fresh, but in killing off Cortana, was at the time a step too far (yet obviously Bungie had already sown those seeds with the 7yr rampancy lore). However, I came to understand that both machines were able to become human. The chief had been a killing machine for so long, that when Cortana's human quality sacrifice saved the Cheif, he began to reflect on what being human meant. With the exception of the H5 eSports beta, we know little of the coming game; so I will reserve my judgement of both 343i and H5 till later. A plus side I see with 343i, is that they do communicate with the gamers. Yes TMCC has issues, but they are communicating and working on these. How many times do people on these forums communicate VoG/Crota bugs - and yet we hear so little from Bungie about these. This weeks news is basically we are working on an update, but can't tell you about that yet, but when we can, well tell you about the update. What was the point in that story? That is not communicating. Destiny, from the original trailers gave an impression of an expansive universe with a great story. At the moment, it feels like a prologue or clip notes. PvP is somewhat lacking in the social fun that Halo MP had all those years ago. As I paid for the DLC, I will of course carry on playing; as for comet or whatever they end up calling it, I'll possibly wait for a revue before deciding. I'm hoping Bungie can pull the proverbial rabbit out of the hat.
