I find it amazing how little people actually know about tv's compared to the amount of trash talk they dish out. Refresh rate is one of the most important things to consider when buying a gaming tv. Plasmas have the highest. Which means less blur when moving your characters... And I have a 60"LG with zero burn at the moment. But it does have a few settings to help resist burn in.

I try not to respond to the dopes that don't have a clue. What settings does your tv have that help prevent image retention?

I forget it's got 3 different settings built in to "agitate the pixels" so the image isn't stagnant

Cool. Just keep a keen eye out for it. I had noticed some retention, didn't bother me as I always thought watching other things would clear it up. Then realized a bit to late that the retention was not getting better but worse. That's when I quit playing and it has taken 2 months to get the screen to almost 99% good. The HUD burns fast, recovers very slow.
