Its not just console games. All games in general are being dumbed down to support the demand for improved graphics. Give it a few more years and games will start to even back out again and actually be interestimg

To be honest the only way for this to be true is if we get done fresh blood in on the developer side. Because let's be honest when was the last time you played a game that was truly unique from a gameplay perspective. Fact is that there is not enough risk takers out there and it's hurting the nature of games.

This is true. We've barely got into this new generation. A lot of the best games don't come out immediately with the console's launch (The Last of Us). Most launch games are forgotten about by the middle of a console's life cycle lol. I'll just be happy to have a good original game, rather than ____ 3, [b][i]blahblahblah[/i][/b] 7, or "Super explosions bang bang jetpack warfare"
