Is xur's inventory really random?
OK so I've heard people say that xur's weekly inventory is based off RNG but I really think bungie is pulling the strings in some way.they have to be, like never selling Gally or not having heavy ammo synth for a month and a half. What does everybody else think about this? Is bungie teasing us?

I'll explain, all the items are on a value system. Meaning like Sunbreakers come up alot cause they placed a high number on them, while Xur's items like Gjarlly, thunderlord, ice breaker have been given a very low number! Think of it as digital bingo. So when BungieVision says they don't control what he brings on fridays, it's kinda accurate. But their in TOTAL control on how often some of these precious exotics pop-up!!

If you've compiled a list of EVERY Exotic Weapon Xur has offered by date, as well as every Nightfall/Weekly since launch, you know with almost 100% certainty that Xur isn't random. But for those who see themselves as DEFENDERS OF BUNGIE (aka fanboys), go ahead and make a fool out of yourselves defending a company that doesn't even know your name. Random or not, Xur is there in the Tower every Friday and Saturday. You can BANK on Xur selling something good every Holiday (Icebreaker Christmas, Valentine's), or letting a weapon slide twice in a row, as with Plan C on Thanksgiving when they were on Holiday. In any case, if you've played Destiny enough, you have basically every weapon anyway. I just wish Bungie would STOP giving and taking away Xur's heavy ammo synth.

6 RepliesThey program his loot table, just like bosses and exotic chests, but his roll each week is random.. Anyone claiming otherwise is ignorant. The developers have confirmed how Xur's inventory works. Sure, 90% of the idiots on here are convinced there is some kind of conspiracy and that Bungie are lying about it.. But stop and think about why they would lie about something so stupid. Where is the motivation? There's no need for all this tinfoil hat garbage.

No. Check reddit Thursday morning or so. They will have the total listing. And FYI--for the 1000th time, the reset happens at the same time, which means it doesn't matter which time zone you live in. People figured it out by checking out the data, not because they live in a different time zone.
