Do you like the Oversoul Edict in PvE?
With the small buff to Pulse Rifles, do you feel it makes a noticeable, yet worthy difference to the Oversoul Edict?
I have something for you to try... The next Blade of Crota you come to, kill it with your Oversoul Edict and lol!

The fang is better. I deleted my all but 1 of my oversouls when I got mine.

actually, i was just using the oversoul edict to clear out the adds in the left/right room at the beginning of the crota HM battle. It gave me a newfound appreciation of the gun. It does quite a great job there.

My problem with the soul is the two main perks are wasted. Full auto, you can shoot burst just as fast by reclicking the trigger without this perk, and a very very situational use for penetrating knight black shields.

I'm not a big fan of pulse rifles and I've been using this to get my pulse rifle kills up but I still don't feel the love like I did when I first started using handcannons. It's a decent weapon, but nothing special imo.

I used to hate pulse rifles. I now use oversoul when arc damage is helpful. Nice against captains and knights when you can shoot through their shields.

It's only real benefit is the shield-perk and arc damage from a primary slot. Overall I'd say it's now useful in PVE, whereas before the update it was weak sauce. Honestly I don't care for full auto PRs, but I can see the appeal to others.

It has its moments and it very useful in a situational way like many weapons in this game. Like yesterday, that as my primary and 4th horseman as my special made very very short work of everyone's friend Uzrok the Hated.

2 RepliesI think pulse rifles are not optimal for PvE in general. Scout Rifles give you much more bang for your buck, with more range, and less ammo consumption.

Red deaths better does same but the reload perk is like a x3 chain of woe it's brilliant

11 RepliesEdict was decent prior to the buff in certain situations. It's mediocre, at best, outside of the crota raid... but being high RoF and having the extra damage to hive elites/ultra, it does a good job of taking out mobs that meet that description. None of the hard crota weapons are anything special outside of the crota raid... unless it's a NF with a burn (remember those?). The only highly desirable weapon out of Crota is black hammer... and that only drops out of normal.

2 RepliesI've only used it in one Rumble match but it was great in there, didn't even ave the full auto yet but it still overpowered the other Guardians.
