Here's my tale of handcannonism. O got the TFWPKY 1969 upon hitting 20 and playing some crucible. Such a beast. I tended to play with increased reload speed in crucible. This gun I use to this day in pve. The perks really do well for pve. Arlund this time I decided that my one true love was the last word. I watched videos of people using it in pvp and it was just so sexy. However I was in no position to actively farm for it, as I was lvl 22 or so, and just couldn't do Nightfalls etc. I then got a The Devil You Know somehow (I didn't think it could drop anymore, but it did) with third eye and just generally good perks and stats. Used that for a good while in pvp. Not pve ofc, it maxes out at 300. Xur sold the last word once, and I couldn't get the coins for it. Just wouldn't happen. I thought "sad times, but i'm sure he'll sell it again". At around this point I saw hawkmoon footage and figured the last word wasn't the one and only love of my life. Eventually i got the thorn bounty and figured I might as well do it while waiting for rng to give me a The Last Word or Hawkmoon. Despite hating the look and sound of the thorn, I love something about the feel of it. It's... Weird. This is what I currently use in pvp. For pve it is the TFWPKY 1969 still. Now I'm really itching for a Word of Crota, if anything to have an elemental primary for burns, but also because it makes the thorn bounty pvp part a lot easier having a void primary. Still waiting for hawkmoon or tlw. Maybe xur will bring me a new handcannon next weekend? Maybe I'll do some hard crota next week now that I've got experience with the encounter and get lucky with the word of crota? I hope so. Edit: I have a white Duke handcannon on an alt that I keep for pvp amusement times. Solid gun for crucible, that.
