UPDATE! (June 20th) Vault of Glass 6th chest search.

I have read thousands of articles.....spend HUNDREDS of hours looking for new material. I have read every article there is to read about this chest. I am CONVINCED that there are indeed 2 chests which would round the chest count at 7. I think that one of the reasons why we have not found it is because we are mixing up several chest, theories, and locations. I think we need to separate our ideas here. Lots of people believe it is by Gorgon, some believe it is the Jumping Puzzle, and some say the Throne Room. to me, I would put my money on the last two. Gorgon's cave already has a few chests, and the Templar as well.
Finally, I will be posting a top 5 theories in a few hours, that will outline where we are in the search, and what else needs to be discovered. Good luck guardians!

*UPDATE* Top theories:
1. It requires a flawless raid to trigger. You must not let anything sacrifice, you have to kill all oracles, not get spotted, COMPLETE Jumping puzzle, etc. If this is true, it should spawn at the dead portal, or in the little cave on the pedestal.
2. Somehow defeat Gatekeper and atheon while keeping 2 people outside the throne room. Have the ones outside open it from the outside and after the raid is over, scour the entire vault.
3. "I wonder if we should kill the oracles in the order they appear, but not with any weapons. Use the Vex Mythoclast. It is the only vault weapon that doesn't have the oracle disrupted perk. And the oracles need to play their song without being disrupted :)" SO maybe we have to do this and find a chest somewhere on the passage down to the labyrinth.
[u]4. Complete the first part FLAWLESSLY and find a chest in the Kabr passage. why would a passage be there with no purpose??? The templar chest is in an alternate spot, so why not try the same thing here?[/u]
5. Leave a member at the beginning and the portal will open up to allow him to spawn at the dead portal after the atheon fight...he opens the throne room and everyone can get out and get the chest.
6. Leave one person at the Templar so that the Gorgon's cave does not become a darkness zone. Then proceed to kill all Gorgons. When al are dead bring the other person down and get the chest on the cave pedestal.
I have INSIDE SOURCES that have leaked information to me regarding this chest. I am not revealing any names or gamer tags, because I do not want to compromise their identities. What you need to know is that I have spent several hours playing with these people and can confirm their legitimacy. If you choose to disregard this, that is your decision. I know in my heart that it is for real.
These people have confirmed that there is one. And they repeatedly stressed a few tips:
1. People have triggered the chest multiple times!
2. A TON of raid teams progress through the vault, complete the necessary triggers, and do not take that one final step to getting the chest. (Consider it a race that you quit at the finish line).
3. IT IS NOT as complicated as people make it out to be. This would eliminate unrealistic triggers like flawless runs with all Vex and raid gear. listening to the tune of the oracle, kill a gorgon with NLB etc.
ONE LAST TIME, lets throw the theories out there. Sorry lazer until I get video proof you are a fraud.
>I think that we have had a lot of people go flawless but do not COMPLETE the jumping puzzle. It think every person needs to touch every block. NO ONE ever does that. I think the chest is in that little cave in the jumping maze.

Edited by Duhubs: 7/3/2015 10:13:41 AMOk I thought of this, so Vault is raid for 6 players right, there's 3 classes (hunter, titan, and warlock). I assume the raid was meant for two of each class. So now I'm getting to the oracles right, you know how when the round starts and they show you where the oracles are. What if the two hunters that are gunslinger destroy them as they spawn. Because with symbiote there's 4 x2 for hunters so 8 there's 7 oracles. td;lr Just destroy the oracles as they spawn to show where they spawn. EDIT: I'm on 360 and I'm down to search Gt: Celestial Dubs

9 RepliesMy theory is you have to 720 trickshot all the Gorgons while eating moutain dew soaked Doritos, then it unlocks a chamber where you fight atheons son, gaytheon and you have to use "Laurence V Texas" case ruling against him and he marries crota and he gives you a chest which is a wedding present from the speaker which can be anything from 1 mote of light- Ghorn machine gun primary [spoiler]legit guys pls[/spoiler]

1 ReplyHey so I have something to add to the mystery. I've noticed while using the scope / sight of Vision of Confluence in VoG there are particles in the sight. The opacity of these particles seems to intensify or fade in certain directions when looking around the vault. At first I thought it was a dust effect, however outside VoG no such debris / particles are present. Upon closer examination (ie getting really close to my tv screen) I've noted that the debris or particles actually appear to be a constellation or maybe even a star map of some kind. With a name like vision of confluence, I feel like this is some intentional secret or hint at something. Does anyone know any more about this?

Before the gatekeeper room. Stay at the bottom and don't go in the door. Don't die. There is pillar structures at the bottom to climb back up. You climb them to the top. You go in a zig zag motion to get back to the highest peak. If your looking at the door, to the left, on the outside there is a "lip" You jump on this lip.. To get to it, you have to have your agility all the way up, you have to have a weapon with +2 agility on it. For a warlock, you can jump from the bottom small platform on to the lip by using your sunsinger super. Its the only way to get across. A titan and hunter has to use a platform that is above, they have to use their super to get across as well. Once your across, on to the lip. You have to jump out to the left a little and up on to a ledge. Its a pain to get on. once there, you jump up again, There you will find a room. Whats in the room? You only get one shot. If you die, you re-spawn in the gatekeeper room. So you have to back out, go back in, let your super re-fill and try again. Its annoying and time consuming. Ill be honest. I don't know if the chest is really there. But I have a feeling something is there. Its the only thing in the vault of glass that requires you to have agility all the way up, a weapon with it on and using your super. How it plays out. It feels like something is there. I been everywhere in the vault of glass, from the lowest points of the level, to the hidden pathways to the right of the Templar, to hidden caves throughout that have glowing crystals, to the top, from inside the pillars at the Templar, to the farthest points in atheon room (left and right) and they all show nothing. But this one platform is promising. It took me months to figure this out.. and I didn't figure it out.. a friend mentioned "let me try supering" ... he didn't make it across, but I did. But now its just going up from there. If you try this and you make it, make a video.

So on the jumping steps there is a vex time gate. After you beat gatekeeper or atheon u could see that could activate it
