You're not supposed to play video games ok a plasma screen at all. It's in the instructions that came with the TV.

I never have an issue with my 60" lg plasma and I play destiny and other games for hours...
-
It's just not recommended by the manufacturers. Means you can do it and it might be fine but if something goes wrong it's your fault
-
Or you just do some research and buy a plasma that is videa game compatible holy fack
-
Your positive about that? I never heard that your not supposed to play video games on a plasma. Is it the ideal choice, no. But an educated consumer can make it work. As for the results of gaming on a plasma, why is it that no other game leaves heavy IR that takes months to wash away? Only destiny. Why, because no other game has the most plasma unfriendly white and yellow static HUD with no available transparency adjustments or The option to remove it completely. It is a small addition to the game that developers flat out overlooked or now after release, don't care To fix because they have their money.

That's a great absolute statement. I'm sure no other game has similar issues...especially since you say so.

Edited by SulkyVirus: 2/28/2015 5:39:15 PMVortex is right, it clearly says in any plasma TV manual to not play game or put images on the screen that are static and high contrast. Do some game developers put in things to help? Yes. But that doesn't mean all games do. Turn down the color and contrast on your TV and that will help a bit. Having problems still? Do a white screen flush. This coming from someone who has gamed on a 55 in plasma for 5 years until I replaced it a year ago.

The last time I read reviews, it says that your not to pause a game while using a plasma due to image getting burned onto the screen. It didn't say you couldn't play games on plasma. Geez Louise. Who cares anyway? Just allow us to dim the HUD. That's what this thread is about.

It might say that in SOME. Not all
-
That's weird. I wonder why my panasonic plasma came with a low input lag GAME mode if I'm not supposed to play games on it
-
Great point! Exactly! My vt60 has a game mode. Why would panasonic put it in there if you were not supposed to play on it.
