Bungie never lied. They clearly said based on fire rate the nerf would be decided. Read updates people...

This was written by the development team on the 5th.... Reduce base damage of Auto Rifles by 2.5% (averaged across Rate of Fire stats, higher RoF took less of a reduction than low RoF) Reduce effective range values so that damage falloff and accuracy are a stronger factor in combat decisions Range reduction is less severe in the higher stat values, so now your range stat is more critical to long distance engagements

They also said it would be.2.5% and in the weapons tuning said it would average 2.5%. The base damage might have been what was changed but no way the average loss in damage is 2.5%

Edited by NobodyJustBrad: 2/27/2015 5:26:28 PMMaybe you should look at some high rate of fire weapons, then? Anyone have numbers for Atheon's Epilogue?

Someone in this thread, who thought it.didn't get touched, (Dic3man I believe) was surprised to find that it took a 7% hit. That's in line with other reports of what others are seeing from necrochasm.

I work with people all day long, and I can tell you this is poor communication in action. You target your audience and tailor the message. It's not hard at all to see where people would fail to realize the full extent of the damage based on the notes, at least until the patch dropped and people tested. Plus, saying after the fact they warned us is in itself flawed - in PvE, warning or not, it shouldn't have happened at all.
