Check out planet destiny latest podcast. They have an Icelandic dude on talking about it. He tells the proper pronunciation is along the lines of "gat-la-horn" I think that's a phonetic way of writing it. Anyway go listen to the podcast it's early on too , it is more difficult to explain.

I'm glad No one had even spoke with someone from Bungie it's self to see how the hell to properly say it. I'm tired if all these so called experts. It dosent matter what language it is from it's how the designer of the weapon wanted to to be said is how it sounds. Also in any language things are pronounced different and different from region in that language so really does it freakimg matter???????? It's what the hell anyone wants it to be and yallerhorn sounds retarded period.
