I don't even look at them when I play in fireteams as it's a meaningless bs number some people like to flaunt as some kind of badge of honor to maintain their special snowflake status.
-
2 RepliesTo me it's just how many ghosts you've picked up because my grim was low until yesterday I went on YouTube to find them all and now I'm sitting at 2255

To me, anyone above 2000 Grimoires has played quite a lot and has a fair amount of experience. This doesn't necessarily translate to skill, but it helps.
-
When 80% of the players have less score than me, I expect for noobs to look up to me lol.
-
It doesn't mean a lot to me really. For mine personally it's something to aim for.

Means something to read on the toilet

I'm more likely to take a 2K Gscore from a forum than I am say a 1500. That's about it.

Experience
-
Nothing really just something to show progress
-
Experience, I've yet to see anyone with a score of 2600+ struggle at any activity.
-
Experience with a side of dead ghost cheese

They need a max cape 3 emblems from Xur, 250 strange coins each and max grim to buy. Each one changes the nightfall particle effect to a void, arc, or solar particles

It's a scale of how much you've played. At 2000+ you've put in quite a few hours and you're probably at least decent at the game (or you would've quit by now). I find it a convenient baseline. If I run a Nightfall with a guy who has 1400 or so grimoire, I expect to have to explain things to him. Versus 2200+ where I just expect them to know what to do. But it's not a measure of skill, just experience mainly.

I have competition with my boys on who can get the highest thats it really

That I wasted way too much of my time on this stupid game.

1 ReplyNothing.

Just something else to grind for, nothing more, nothing less.
-
1 ReplyA means to compete with friends to compare who has less of a life outside of destiny. So far I'm winning lol....

Edited by King Stark: 3/3/2015 3:25:12 AMThat you're better than everyone else who is less

It means you've grinded more than others

1 ReplySomeone who cares more to play the game ... can usually trust them and only thing to actually separate you from other players

Experienced

It tells me who I might need to explain things to when raiding with randoms. Other than that I never check them.
-
1 ReplyNothing because I hate PvP and I'm stuck in my ways when it comes to weapons.
-
I just use it to tell noobs from more experinced player makes finding a raid team easy for me
