Is gally really worth my exotic slot or is it all just hype?
Getting kind of mad because I am putting alot of time into this game and still no ghorn. Is it really that nessacary and good as people say it is?

Dingle player its awesome. Pvp i dont really see any difference compared to any other launcher asides from the tracking. Wolfpack doesnt seem to be as effective.

Yes it's good, No it's not necessary to have equipped all the time. Fact is there are far too many other exotics that are better to use in different ways. It does get used alot but mainly for bosses, no need to have equipped for random patrols when grinding out bounties or doing the daily.

Some parts of course can be beneficial but NOT NECESSARY. Nightfall, crota ect....but I'm rocking my hawkmoon most the time so there goes my exotic slot

It's worth the slot for bosses. Anything else hunger of crota does just as well.

I have three maxed out for each toon. Most of the time I run something else. ie Icebreaker, bad juju, thorn, Mida or my personal favorite; Thunderlord.

This is actually serious galley is oviously the best. Yet hoc is a close 2nd and is ok in most circumstances. So would I set galley in a vault never would I consider using hoc and icebreaker over it possibly

Hype, only use of it is crota and the occasional weekly or nightfall.

it is hype its good but not the end all exotic by a mile. If there is a primary and as weapon that you would rather have as a primary than any of your exotics for those slots ghally is a fine choice truth and dragons breath are great as well. TLord is amaze ballz and SGadvice i personally quite enjoy.

I find myself using my hunger of crota more to free up a primary exotic slot. After the initial debuff alot of the exptic primarys were really really bad. Now bad juju, red death, thorn, vex, etc are actually formidable weapons.

Honestly, yes. It's an awesome weapon. but everything is situation dependant. On void burn or pvp I use truth. On crotas end I use hunger of crota. The bonus damage towards hive douchelords makes the gjallarhorn a waste of an exotic slot. Hunger of crota is a better choice. Especially if you're running sword and you (Are smart) and have a multi tool equipped (not saying it's mandatory. Our sword guy is the Guardian version of ussain bolt with that setup). Or have an ice breaker equipped for killing the sword bearer. Set up for the situation. Like in alaska. We dress for the weather, not the occasion.

I only got mine tonight so I have no idea how good it is yet but I doubt it's something I'll have permanently equipped. Like my exotic primaries too much. I could be wrong so will try and update this once I've had some time with it to give an honest opinion
