Why Do People Hate Warlocks?
Everyone says they are Noobs and that self res is a crutch. Why?
Edit: a lot of people say we die a lot. I check your raid KD and mine is better then most of yours on my warlock so shut the -blam!- up.
Edit: Most people hating don't even have a warlock. Lmao.
Edit: Seems that a lot of people don't like glide. I personally like it the best.

The glide takes some getting used to, but it's not bad. I will agree though that fireborn makes sunsingers seem greedy though. They save up their super for when they die and they don't spawn orbs. Those orbs could have been used on weapons of light, a BladeDancer, or a massive novabomb. If a sunsinger didn't ride on the fact that they have fireborn, things could probably get done.

Self res is one of the best abilities I've seen. It can save a whole team in a nightfall.

I main a warlock and have and second a hunter, I've noticed that when I play as my warlock I'm just careless with what I do because I know I I die and I can just self res, but as my hunter I have a lot less deaths because I can't do that. That's my theory in why warlocks die more.

If you guys have a problem with self Rez, you really have a problem with the idiot using it. I always play as if I don't have it, so when I die, it's because I was actually overwhelmed, not just being lazy. And I only use it when someone else reviving me is impossible, thus saving us from having to wipe, which can be a gift from God in a nightfall. It's also easy as hell to use for crucible. I don't immediately pop it once I die, so I don't immediately get killed again by the same person. Seriously. Self Rez is a godsend. In the right hands, it's a perfect stealth weapon for PVP, and a lifesaver for difficult PVE missions. The hate should be directed at the dopes who use it improperly.

I just don't enjoy the play style as much. And self red is a crutch. You need to use radiance. Not just self red in case you die. I love void walkers though. And people who use radiant skin. They always save my life in raids and crucible.

I must say (don't really know about my KD) but as someone who feels slightly better than average at the game, I noticed alot more deaths with my warlock compared to titan and even my unlevelled hunter. I don't know if I'm playing it wrong, but he does feel very flimsy to me. I can get him up to 32, but I switched focus to my hunter. I'm not one of these 'superior class' type of people, I like all of them, but I honestly feel other than supers and perks the warlock isn't that good? If someone can offer advice on how this class should be played I'd appreciate it.... I like the titan because of its simplicity...run, punch, shoot, squish. So maybe I'm trying to tank too much. I dunno. One love.

Okay since I have a better k'd and a warlock I will be able to put my input in this. Warlocks are not my preference . They have a terrible jump and the only thing helpful is their self revives. I'd rather use my titan and hunter.

1 ReplyGlide is the most versatile jump. The best one for platforming. If anyone doesn't think it's effective it's because they haven't put effort into figuring out its mechanics. I know this because I've tried to teach warlocks to get up onto the tower in the bridge encounter and they seriously struggle while I find it much easier with my warlock than my titan.

12 RepliesI have all 3 classes and started my warlock day 1, even a warlock in beta. The hate comes from self res and I've seen a lot of locks do this and it posses me off. NO SUPER UNTIL DEATH! So annoying, any raid or strike is going to go a lot easier and faster if the warlock does his job and makes orbs. Yet 90% dont, they save it till they die and when they do use it they've usually gotten themselves into a bad spot so they just run for cover, few to no orbs made. This play type is selfish and annoying to run with, hens giving us a bad name.

I made a warlock for my third character. It's still a fun class to play, but I'm not keen on the jump when compared to Titan/hunter and I feel like I can't use my sunsinger super in raids in case I need to self res! (I'm not a great player, it's a definite possibility). I've only just started levelling void walker and that's pretty fun, but I still prefer the other two classes.
