What if the House of Wolves Raid dropped a Pike instead of a Sparrow?
Now that would be amazing. Highly unlikely that it'll happen, but a guardian can dream...
Can you imagine doing a patrol where you don't ever have to get off your vehicle?
Imagine killing Phogoth with nothing but a pike?
Arc burn for weekly/nightfall? YES PLEASE.

***Update (May 15, 2015): UM SO @MORECONSOLE on Twitter just tweeted a pike that functions like a Sparrow! Looks like we'll be getting one finally! (The pew pew pew capabilities are unconfirmed, though)

Then I would never be able to sleep. Instead of just borrowing their pikes as I like to say, I WOULD BE KEEPING IT! I cannot live with that on my conscience. Do you ever think about if they really mind that you took their pike? If not, you're an asshole! *sobs*

Would be cool but won't happen. Even if they locked it from being used in crucible, it would ruin the game doing nothing but sit on a pike all day that you can just summon back if it gets destroyed. What would be cool though is having a sparrow with blades on the sides like a chariot to slice through enemies you fly beside.

What if the pike was a weaker version and had a 5 or 10 minute cool down? Than would you all be complaing? Wouldn't be cheap and if it got destroyed you would have to wait a while to be able to get around again wouldn't Be very nice for pve lol

But what if bungie make sparrow for two people one driving and the other one shoot while on the sparrow or u can make a sparrow with guns for shooting but make it do weak damage

Deej stated this in one of his interviews when discussing how they came up with the design of the sparrows. He replied with something like this "If you had a sparrow with artillery on it 24/7, would you ever get off?" And the interviewer was like "no probably not."
