What you thinking Bungie? I mean you prove again that you not play this game!
Now, when you play with a random team, and you play vs a coordinated Fireteam and they get both Heavy Drops there is no chance that you can win this game!
Pre Patch, 1 team get both Heavy Drops, but you still had the chance to change the entire game, you could kill one of them, get the Heavy from a killed Guardian and you was viable again to destroy them all and to change the match.
Now when 1 Team get both Heavy Drops, even when you kill 1 of them, you would never be able to kill them all, even when they suck, because you get no Heavy Ammo at all from killed Guardians now.
So you need to fight with your Primary and Special Weapons vs entire Heavy Team.
Pre Patch, when you was good, you could start a good comeback and win the game for your team, because it was fair and balanced.
Start Matchmaking Post Patch:
You join a game where the enemy team outplay your team, they have all the Heavy so its GG, the only option is to quit!!!
You join a game where your team is terrible and the situation above ruin your game, enemy have both Heavy Drops and its GG, because you can not compete vs a team when everyone have Heavy and you have only shit.
Start Matchmaking Pre Patch:
You join a game where the enemy team outplay your team, they have all the Heavy so its difficult but not impossible, only what you need is to kill 1 player with Heavy, you take this Heavy from a dead body, and you have now the same chance like the so called winning team, you kill them all, you get their Heavy, your team see that you killed them all, the team moral is higher now and you start winning!
With that Patch you removed all the depth and tactical play from Crucible, you make it 1 sided and boring.
Heavy Ammo Spawn Pre Patch:
You could rush and kill the enemy with Heavy, to stop all that kill streaks and you was rewarded with more Heavy.
Good play was rewarded! Good for your team!
Its enemies fault when they let you kill, so you can get all that Heavy Ammo from their corpses.
Heavy Ammo Spawn Post Patch:
Nobody rush now, because it make no sense, there is only 1 tactic, camping, camping and even more camping.
Because you get nothing when you rush to enemy now.
The fact is, Pre Patch it was far balanced than it is now.
Everyone knows that Heavy Ammo change battles, like in Arena Shooters where you need to fight your way to the best weapon spawns like Rocket Launchers or Railgun, but when you not get this weapons because your enemy was faster, you could still kill them with less effective weapons and pick up stronger weapons from the corpse.
In Destiny PvP, a good coordinated team vs random lobby, the coordinated team split up in a group of 3 players, 3 players on 1 Heavy Ammo Box and 3 Players on the other box, and when they use their super, there is no chance you can get the Heavy Ammo Box in random teams.
And what about Rumble, the Rumble was completely ruined by this change!
But its fine, teamwork was rewarded like it should be. But it was not game over, you had still the chance to get Heavy, from your enemies.
You outplay them with Primary or Special Weapons, and here your skill was rewarded, you can pick up their Heavy, and now you are on the same level like the coordinated team, and when you have the ability to kill them all and get their Heavy than this game should not punish you for that!
When you make changes like this Bungie, start use your brain, talk with the High-End PvP Community first, you know they play much better than you and they understand the PvP much better than you!
What you make now is a disaster, with every patch the balance is worse and worse!
Have fun playing the next Iron Banner!

Why would they even think to make such a unnecessarily needed change? It's mind blowing, the people who made this game must not be playing what they created at all. I used to not like PvP till recently with the Last iron banner, but have just really started to catch the drift of how to win matches they pull out the heavy ammo after killing someone with heavy ammo. We just wanted a glitch fix for the heavy ammo in pve. Smh nobody said make the matches one sided. Now it's gonna be even more rage quitters.

Very bad change for rumble

4 RepliesTwice tonight i ran and picked up enemy team's heavy ammo and got killed seconds later. Watching them run around my corpse looking for the ammo was awesome. Especially when they realized it was all gone! Im happy with the change.

I disagree with you, bungie wishes to make a game of teamwork, removing several spawns of H.A. and not allowing drops is to encourage teamwork. Many players grab the H.A. crate and they are alone while other guardians are going to it, they don't make it and honestly that's no team work
-
Yeah, I'm against it. I kept my Jolder's Hammer full by not walking on the heavy until i died. Say goodbye to skilled players though. They'd prefer to satisfy people who ignore the loud voice that says "Heavy Ammo incoming"

Learn to write! Or better yet learn to use brain.

It's to keep cod kids from camping in corners with heavy

2 RepliesI miss not getting heavy when killing a guardian. :( Very disappointed there. It sucks in rumble getting to the box and having a wicked brawl with the guy who picked up the ammo. Then stealing it........ RIP heavy ammo. Very sad day for crucible.

11 RepliesThe change was completely fair and needed.

9 RepliesBest change yet. Hate when some guy has a machine gun for the entire gane

3 RepliesGuardians listen and please think about this. The change makes it IMPOSSIBLE for one guy or a team to have damn near infinite heavy ammo for the duration of the match. Granted it sucks you won't get any on kill, but it works the other way around too. When I was using my Praxis Fire I could get SEVEN Truth rockets if I killed someone. SEVEN! Now I can only get 4 I believe, and if I want more then I need to wait for the respawn. It seems counter intuitive but this change makes heavy ammo even more important, because once it's gone it's gone! This change is even more noticeable in doubles and skirmish. I can't tell you how many times heavy ammo was the deciding factor in a match of skirmish just because I got killed while holding heavy or killed someone who had some while I too had some. This way that cannot happen.
-
So many times someone takes the heavy and dies immediately so no one gets heavy. That happens a couple times you can go a whole match without heavy ammo. I don't understand how they make decisions. It's not creative at all it's way too conservative and authoritative. I hated the first couple months everyone complaining about this game but now it's actually warranted and they prove it to us that they don't mind dropping the ball again and again

Edited by Tonester: 2/27/2015 1:04:16 AMI like the change. There was no incentive to actually take the heavy because you would just get ambushed and lose it.... or have someone camp it fir kills. This way, it makes it easier to actually steal the teams ammo and they can't get it back. Also, watch the video where the guy gets 70 kills in one crucible match by killing an entire team who just picked up heavy. He then uses the heavy they dropped , 1 at a time, to keep refillingg his HMG the entire match since it never despawns. It actually makes matches last longer, be more about gunplay, and less about spammy rockets. Brilliant idea.

So so so so agree x 10,000,000!!! If I gun down some one with a primary or secondary weapon I SHOULD BE REWARDED WITH THEIR AMMO!!!! WHAT THE HECK!!
-
Yup. I agree. Unfortunately they don't care

Go back to cod

It is a bad change. Camping heavy chests really was never a problem if you could get your heavy ammo from an enemy who picked it up. But NOW there will be more camping of heavy ammo crates, because people will really want to prevent the other team from getting it, since they can't fight them to get it themselves. The whole thing may play out fine, once we see. The above is my concern at least. And from a preference point of view, I personally find it not as much fun if you can't go fight your opponent for some heavy ammo. Heavy weapons are part of the game. Let people use them. The system was fine the way it was as far as I see it, and changing this doesn't really help.

1 ReplyI LOVE this change. Nothing to me was more frustrating than fighting a well coordinated team that seemed to ALWAYS have heavy ammo cause they could kill and pick more up from your team at leisure. Now when heavy ammo drops you have about 30 seconds to a minute of dealing with heavy kills, but if your team is being dominated its so much easier to swing things back to even because they can't keep getting heavy... once each persons limited ammo is spent, or they die, crucible is back to balance. The only ones who really complain are the pvp elite who loved dominating the enemy the whole match with heavy giving them NO chance for a comeback. Thank you bungie for making crucible more fun. My only real complaint about crucible now is lack of maps and game modes, and hand cannon accuracy at long ranges is still too good. I shouldn't ever be in a scout rifle vs hand cannon sniping match and have the hand cannon win. It should be medium to short range like a pistol IRL. Oh, and fusion rifle spread is better now, but still 1hk at mid range... should be closer to shotgun range for reliable 1hk

8 RepliesEdited by wholeshizer: 2/26/2015 2:19:40 PMActually it's a good thing because now people can't just camp with heavy for half the match
-
2 RepliesKilling someone and taking their heavy ammo away was probably one of the most fun things to do in pvp!
-
1 ReplyI have noticed more people sitting back using only snipers after this patch. And to think I thought that the heavy ammo dropping from players was supposed to be part of the game...
-
Bump bump bump This is a horrible change that players did not ask for... Why take a rewarding feature out of the game! (This hurts even more in Skirmish/Doubles)

10 RepliesGood campers have to actually move now. Good move bungie

5 RepliesPvp has no purpose in this game its lame. Take it out and start putting more effort in pve thats where the bread and butter is a lot of people are tired if the same old pvp games.
