I'm norwegian, and this name derives from the norse mythos and language. It's pronounced something like this:
Y'all-are-horn
The G and the J should be contracted into the 'Y' sound, while the A should be pronounced like in the word 'are', not like the word 'ass'.

It's actually Icelandic and the way you're pronouncing it isn't right I'm afraid.

I did say the norse mythos. Icelandic culture has had strong ties to the norse culture. Snorri Sturlason is the best source for the history of norwegian kings. ;) And I think I know how it's supposed to be pronounced, having grown up with the norse mythos as primary school curriculum. :)

Please watch on YouTube planet destiny's 5th podcast. lol I am not Norwegian or anything like that but I heard the way it's pronounced from this source and it seems legit. It definitely wasn't "Ya-lah-horn". See for yourself

Just watched it. "Gatlarhorn" is what the guy in the video says. Guess that might be right, considering the Icelandic language is closer to the old Norse than the scandinavian languages today. Still, the 'y' sound is what we use here in norway. :)

The meaning of the name could actually be translated into "yelling horn" or "yeller horn", which when you think about it isn't that far from recognizable english.
