They've been trash since the reduction in critical damage. Take to long to kill in comparison to certain weapons. Also 1 bullet makes a big difference as you're taking longer to kill the person and then there finish you off and you won't be able to handle more than 1 person without needing to constantly reload

1 bullet only matters if you suck at aiming or are just spraying at the body. If not and aiming for the head 1 bullet means nothing at all. You are not really meant to be able to handle multiple players at teh same time on your own in pvp. it is a team battle after all silly one. And they are only trash to those that are trash at aiming aka spraynpray runngunners.

It is you that need a better excuse saying they suck because of a minor 2.5 change in damage and claiming they sucked before when no they did not.

Not minor as for a few reasons. Nerf in range 2x Fall of damage Minus 25% less critical damage Slightly less stability Over a total of 5% damage depending on weapon type. You keep telling yourself these are minor nerfs.

They are minor nerfs compared to what they could have done to them if they had wanted. If you cannot get kills with them easily after this then you suck at using them.

No don't suck. They are just no longer viable options so they suck. You're playing handicap with them as for close range you may use a shotgun/ fusion rifle.

AR was never meant for close range. that is where the SG/FR was meant to rule. AR are meant for mid range, scount mid to long, sniper long, Pulse short to medium, sg close, fr close to short. Not all weapons are meant to be viable or effective and easily used at all ranges of the game all the time. You should not be using a AR while at the flag if someone comes up close to you. That is when you are meant to change to your FR or SG at that point.

No sub machine guns were. And also by doing so they made high impact worse than the low impact as they deal about 50% less damage for 3x the fire rate

AR's are not smg's, there is no real SMG class in this game. High rof does not mean high damage.. it never was meant to be that way. the high rof is to make up for the lower dps to even them out against those that fired slower but did more dps.

Pulse rifles like red death shot faster and go more damage what's your point?

How.. smg are full auto, shot fast, have slightly high recoil, and little range.. and what fits that are things like atheons epilogue, payback etc

And as I said there is no real true smg in this game. None of the weapons in this game are really smg's they are assualt rifles, which are also full auto, shoot fast, have slightly high recoil and medium range.

Low dps, high ttk and basically just assist machines. If you don't recognize that, I'm doubting your ability to speak accurately to this discussion. Let the big kids talk now

Clearly it is you that suck in crucible if you think the AR's have ever sucked in this game. they are extremely easy to get kills with, You just have to aim better as in aim for the head and spray less at the body or limbs.
