If you hit him 3 times each kneel as a 32 on normal, then he dies in two swords. AKA: 12 hits on normal
On hard, hitting him 15 times puts him just above enrage mode. Then, you hit him maybe 6-8 more times and he's dead. So about 22 hits on hard.
