OMG on Crota Normal, don't say "lets do center strat"
Seriously I ran some newish guys thru Crota normal last night, since I decided to get my 30 hunter geared up with raid stuff for the heck of it. Anyways most of these guys CLaimed they have done it multiple times. Went smoothly until 2 idjits are refusing to do crota on ANYTHING OTHER THAN center strat.
Oh my gawd guys that is for hard mode, if you're that lame that you can't handle the normal crota battle without standing on center ledge....don't even play the raids any more. Seriously the next person I run normal mode with that suggests "Hey lets do center ledge strat on Crota" I'm going to flip out. That is so pathetic.

Normal is so easy these days I don't really care what strategy anyone wants to use. Hell, you can practically use the "Imma just gonna run around and shoot stuff strat." As long as everyone knows when to fire rockets and how not to die, you're good. So different than it was the first week it was out and we all spent hours trying to kill him. Lulz.

I know how you feel, whenever I'm swordbearer and people want to do center stray, someone ends up dying or I won't be able to get Crota down in 2 swords

I only use center strat on norm because the team I'm with normally dies from boomers every 5 seconds doing left strat so we had to do center strat

4 RepliesEven on normal, i think middle strat is easier. Only because everyone can get in a perfect position to fire on Crota..... Anytime we do left, and i tell my team to fire, i see like no rockets go by because everyone else keeps moving in the room getting in each others way! Its like just stand still where youre not in someones way! But really.....middle strat is overall easier.

6 RepliesIt's far easier to do left strat on normal. Boomers are down in 2 head shots usually and you only need 1-2 guys for that. That leaves more people free and focused on crota. The problem I always see with middle strat is that it's more tedious.

1 ReplyI agree. Center is for hard to avoid the hsllowed boomers. On normal, the boomers take one headshot to take down which means left strategy is way more efficient. The swordbearer is easier to see from the left and can get taken down really fast.

It's a legit strategy that ensures victory. I run pros and kinderguardians through raids, and we all do the same strategy...it's called prepping for hard mode.

We use middle strategy on normal since my friends and I have been 3 maning the raid. Since sometimes getting a team of six makes it take so much longer.

Or why not accept there are multiple ways to do it, and some might be more comfortable with one approach than the other? It doesn't really matter so long as he dies in the end, right?

You are correct that it isnt needed but doing mid adds extra forepower to bring down Crota since nobody is on the boomers. Get over yourself and let people play how they want.

The only reason why I don't like doing center strat on normal is because you're increasing the amount of space for the swordbearer to hide in. In my opinion, it's just easier from that perspective to do everything from the left side.

In the center area, we don't have to worry about the boomers or thralls. This allows people to focus on the sword bearer and crota without getting killed by the boomers. I really don't mind either way, but middle is easier and less risky.

Why not do it in normal? It's called PRACTICE. most people do it for the hard raid. Nothing wrong with doing it on normal. When people wanna wipe after confluxes to stay up top for oracles and templar on normal. Now that's when you should rage and flame on the forums.

1 ReplyEdited by Fromage of Havoc: 2/24/2015 3:52:36 PMBut "the center strat" has been a thing even before Crota HM...only difference was that it was at the bottom center room instead of the ledge...and if anything, doesn't hurt to do on normal what they're expected to do on hard anyway--it forms a habit. TLDR: calm down, control freak.

The strategy works. Why run multiples. Just confuses people, specialy if they are christmas.

I've only done it once. It's the only strategy I know. Maybe I can learn a new strategy sometime soon.

Does it matter which way u do it? As long as it's done, don't matter if it's centre strat or 1 man strat, Maby the others ain't capable,an u could have been there all day!

Doing center strategy for normal just helps you practice for hard so when you actually do hard your not wiping a million times n00b
