OMG on Crota Normal, don't say "lets do center strat"
Seriously I ran some newish guys thru Crota normal last night, since I decided to get my 30 hunter geared up with raid stuff for the heck of it. Anyways most of these guys CLaimed they have done it multiple times. Went smoothly until 2 idjits are refusing to do crota on ANYTHING OTHER THAN center strat.
Oh my gawd guys that is for hard mode, if you're that lame that you can't handle the normal crota battle without standing on center ledge....don't even play the raids any more. Seriously the next person I run normal mode with that suggests "Hey lets do center ledge strat on Crota" I'm going to flip out. That is so pathetic.

It's guardians like you who will bitch about some 31 not knowing the hard mode strategy yet by your own idea the normal mode is not the place to practice the hard mode strategy. It's your game play it like you like, let others play how they want and stop bitching

I personally use the DDOS strat where you DOS North Korea and they nuke Crota for you instead

Why? It works and keeps you out of danger. I get that it's not necessary but so is standing in boomer range. How about you don't get so worked up at PVE?

How about you dont flip out on people that like to play a game differently than you, think you can handle that? The raids allow players to complete a specific mission in a variety of ways and strategies. Its one thing bungie got right. Good game design. Ps. I dont even like center strat on hard mode.

I think either strategy is fine in normal. But refusing to do one or the other is a joke. I would have kicked those scrubs for saying no to the left strat. The middle strat has (imo) made it way too easy to down Crota. It is supposed to be hard and we have gotten off easy with this. Everyone seems to feel such an entitlement now a days for the game, like they achieved something great. Well this game has been fairly easy once strategies have been found. Having the right strat is supposed to make it easier yeah but not as easy as it is now. I feel no rush at all doing Crota on hard and it is pretty sad that that is the case.

I like to run middle strategy to get people knowledgeable about it for when they get to the hard raid. Obviously left side is easier, but why not teach people in an error forgivable situation.

Me and 2 of my friends 3 manned the entire raid on normal twice yesterday before the reset and used the center strat and beat it 3rd try the first time and first try the second time

I tend to try and keep thing consistent in life, I drive the same way to the super market... Shop in the same zombie apocalypse gun store, pick up the violent viral infections every week. I know life is boring, repetitive, grindie, but I like to keep my video games a close to real life as possible. So center strat all the way then I can sleep through video games just like life ;) I get your point but if your in a PuG then what ever gets you through imho. If you want variety and to try different thing play with friends that have the same intention or look for specific PuGs for what you wanting to do eg post; Lfg 5m will not do center strat under any circumstances in Crota normal... Must all be Wearing green, and will only complete abyss if some hunter solos xxx love ;)

I play left for both. Granted our hard strat is radically different than normal.

does it even matter? ogres aren't even an issue. depending on sword and team, 1-2 runs and its over.

Honestly you are wasting your breath complaining about this. There really is no difference how you do it. Centre start can be easier and saves time in normal, this was the case for my team once because the raid was so glitchy it was the only way we could get the sword bearer down fast enough. Often on normal we will use the left strategy but honestly it's not something to get so worked up over. If it's ending to fast for you then go find a group of newbies and show them how to do it!

Doing normal like hard just saves time. Except I still tend to go under the middle for ogres and snipe em.

We use center strat with 5 Icebreakers, takes him down so fast.

Doing middle strat on normal makes it easier than it already is. You don't even need to pick up the chalice, really.

I treat normal and hard the same way makes hard a lot easier
