when 31s say to 32s "oh you're running iron banner gear"
The only thing you need in Crotas end is the boots, and I think the chest I'm not sure what the OVERSOUL benefit is there.
If you have a perfect swordbearer you never need to worry about the OVERSOUL.

It's not like you need the raid gear for the raid anyway. The gear helps, it's not necessary. If it were necessary then you'd get it before doing the raid. I don't care what people wear as long as they can do damage and not act/die like scrubs.

5 RepliesPrecisely. Worst part is though.... Helmet increases damage to oversoul....but only exotic helmets have health restore for orbs. But hard is meant to be ran perfect without deaths. So really even CE gear is worthless in CE hahaha.....

I personally like the gauntlets with crest of alpha lupi and the wolf or in cloak .It looks amazing with chatter white .

It really doesn't matter what level 32 gear your wearing in Normal or Hard Crota as long as you have the right weapons and know what your doing. SMFH

4 RepliesAny 31 with max Icebreaker can drop oversoul solo. Takes about 8 shots. As for sword bearer skill, you are correct, I wouldn't say they have to be "perfect" but any sword bearer that knows what they're doing will be fine. Most unsuccessful raids are caused by the team, not the guy holding sword. Running sword is the easy part. Don't know what iron banner gears has to do with anything at all. 32 is 32, the additional raid gear perks don't make enough of a difference to worry that they don't have them. I ran crota hard with 4 31's and dropped him in 2 attempts. Gear doesn't trump skill. Happy Gaming Everyone [spoiler]also not being one of those "I'm better than you" guys, I'm a new sword bearer, only beat crota about 10 times I think. Not being a douche, just sharing my opinion. :) [/spoiler]

Nine out of ten times the sword bearer isn't the one to die. It's the idiot randoms that don't know how to listen
