I was a little over halfway to rank 5 and my router and Xbox decided to stop playing nice together (no matter what I do, I can't get it to recognize my port forwarding rules).
So I missed out on doing my final Omnigul Nightfall, getting Gheleon's Demise (which is all I really wanted this time around) and getting my IB boots for my Titan.
It's still not working, and while this isn't Bungie or Destiny's fault, it was the final nail in Destiny's coffin, for me. I'm tired of spending so much time grinding only to receive craps rewards, or no rewards at all due to animal errors or stuff like this router problem. I'm this close to just selling my Xbox One and all my games.

You are not alone, I feel I have far more connectivity issues on my xmas-new XB1 than I ever did in my 6yr old 360...

Oh without a doubt. I never had any significant problems with connectivity on my Xbox 360, and still don't. But I have problems with my Xbox One routinely. It is a poorly designed console.

I've read it has something to do with the Skype chat architecture.

Oh? Well if so then a feature that is useless to me causes too many problems.
