Iron Banner isn't about level, it's about armour ratings and weapon damage. So to all the level 30+ players complaining that a level 24 killed you, stop, it's not the same as PvE. Levels don't really matter. FINAL EDIT: (To all the people saying 'level does matter', yes, I'm aware that the higher your armour stats are, the higher your light level goes, that's not my point) Ok, so some of my information may have been misleading or confusing to some people. Some of you understood where I was coming from, others refused to even try. Others informed me of information I wasn't aware of. Hypothetically speaking, I'm aware that light level and defence ratings go hand in hand. The point I'm trying to make is that if you put that exotic chest piece on your 32 on your level 22, that specific piece of armours stats won't get him to 32, but his defence will be higher. I'm just saying it's all about gear and skill, rather than level. Considering the amount of 32s complaining and ending up at the bottom of the leaderboards, something of what I am saying makes sense. Either way, the only way to prove my point is to get a character to level 20 for the next Iron Banner and record myself trying out different things and to reprot back my exact findings. Please, take a read:[/b] I think OP is just trying to say something like this; [i]In PVE, if an enemy is 2 levels above your current level, they deal bonus damage to you, and you only deal a percentage of your max damage to them. In Crucible, levels aren't looked at, period. You're auto rifle will always do the same amount of damage as everyone else's auto rifles. Regardless if you're going against a level 2 and you're a 32. However, in Iron Banner, Damage & Defense ARE accounted for and dealt according, but someone 6 levels ahead of you isn't going to deal bonus damage to you, and you'll have no penalty to damage to them. Light Levels, in all forms of PVP are simply a quick reference to the overall rating of the characters equipment.[/i]
