Thanks. Makes sense as I have not read of too many 42 inch tvs having issues. Think it's that 42 inches do not generate the same kind of Heat. I have one from 2009 never retained any images. Still use it as a secondary tv. When I got the 60 I was shocked it had a fan on the back.

It still kicks out a fair amount of heat not enough for it to need a fan though
